New projects by Scott Adkins, Frank Grillo and Michelle Yeoh

Perhaps the hardest working hand-to-hand action movie star today is the Briton Scott Adkins (Undisputed franchise). In his “portfolio” there are always many potential projects that could become quite “tangible” action films in the future. Of the definitely confirmed projects, the British fans are waiting "Day shift", John Wick 4, "Section Eight", "The Lights Go Out" with Adkins in supporting roles, as well "Accident 2" и "Cruelty in Action", where Scott has the main roles. But you can safely bend the remaining fingers of the expected action films with the star of the genre.

From films already in production Scott Adkins will appear in an action comedy film produced in Egypt called Matrah Matrouh (no American name yet). Almost nothing is known about the project, except that Scott has a small role, and he will confront... the Nazis. On his social networks, Adkins wrote the following:

“I feel like Harrison Ford here in Egypt, fighting the Nazis for an exciting new movie.”

The names of the director and leading actors are still unknown. But there are several photographs of the Briton from the set.

Let us remind you that Adkins has already filmed in Egypt - we are talking about an action movie "War in Karmuz" (2018)

It also became known that Scott will again star in a niche film director Christian Sesma (“Diary of a Vigilante”, “The Dark Past”, “Every Last Thing”). Together they have already collaborated on as yet unreleased projects. "Section Eight" и "The Lights Go Out".

Now the Briton not only has the main role, but also what is called a double role. In an action comedy "War Paint" (War Paint) Adkins will play two roles of twins, thus adding to the pantheon of action movie actors who have played similar roles, including Jean-Claude Van Damme, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hunga, Jackie Wu and others.

The script of the film belongs to the debutant to Ian Graham and frequent companion of both Adkins and Sesma - screenwriter Chad Lowe ("Six Bullets", "Close Range", "Jarhead 3: Under Siege", "Crazy Bullet").

The official synopsis reads: When a Hollywood action star is murdered, his born twin brother takes on the persona of his brother's most famous character, striking fear into the hearts of killers and scoundrels.

There is no more information about the upcoming project. There is only a teaser poster designed to stir up public interest.

It’s impossible not to mention that when answering questions from your fans Scott Adkins announced that the script for the fifth part of the franchise "Undeniable" has already been written and is waiting in the wings.

On his social networks, the Briton posted a question about who wants another film about the adventures of the legendary Yuri Boyka? All we have to do is forward this question to our readers and wait for news.

New projects by Scott Adkins, Frank Grillo and Michelle Yeoh

An equally hard-working action hero Frank Grillo (“War of the Wolves 2”, “Trigger Day”, “The Good, the Bad, the Cop”) signed up for a hand-to-hand action movie "Black Lotus" (The Black Lotos).

Мы already wrote about this project in light of the fact that the main role in this action film is played by the 11-time world champion in kickboxing Rico Verhoeven ("The Kickboxer Returns")

The director of the film is the author of niche cinema Todor Chapkanov, known to all of us as the director "Undisputed 4" starring Scott Adkins.

Verhoeven plays special forces soldier Matteo Donner. After his best friend died during their shared mission, Matteo wandered the world, struggling with guilt. Returning to Amsterdam, he finds himself embroiled in a gang war in the city. Amid the explosions, flying bullets and crashing cars, Donner has only one goal: to save the kidnapped daughter of his dead friend.

Details about the role Grillo will play have not been disclosed. But it seems that the American will traditionally play the role of the main villain. We can only hope for a good final fight between these two, and wait for the trailer along with the release date.

New projects by Scott Adkins, Frank Grillo and Michelle Yeoh

A legend of combat cinema and simply a wonderful actress Michelle Yeoh (“Yes, Madam!”, “Stuntwoman”, “Memoirs of a Geisha”, “Everything Everywhere and at Once”), who, apparently at 59 years old, is experiencing a new round of film career, will take part in an 8-episode crime project from Netflix called "The Song Brothers" (The Brothers Sun).

The series, written by Byron Wu (“Prison Break”) and acclaimed showrunner Brad Falchuk (series “Mutant X”, “Nip/Tuck”, “Glee”, “American Horror Story”, “American Crime Story”) will tell the story of Charles Soong, a gangster from Taipei. In his homeland, Sun is a ruthless killer, but he must take the opposite side when a mysterious killer kills his father in Los Angeles. It's not just about revenge, but also about protecting his mother and younger brother. Now he will become a nightmare for the Los Angeles criminals.

The main role in the series was played by a newcomer Justin Tien, who previously starred exclusively in short films. Interestingly, the main director of the series is listed as Kevin Tancharon, who once gave us a web series "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" (2011-2013).

The series is due out in 2023. We will keep our finger on the pulse.
