The other day on the resource Indiegogo a new ambitious project has appeared called "Burn Energy Drink"(On Fire?). This is a film by director, actor and producer Luke Lee, the creator plans to raise funds for the production of it through crowdfunding (popular financing).
The film will be shot in Singapore. Luke Lee aims to raise $1 by June 200, but the final projected budget for the film should be about $000 million. With this money, he plans to attract a Malaysian director and his namesake - James Lee (Second Life), as well as local actors: Pamelyn Chi, Kigana Kana, Paul Foster и Fisha Chaara. The cast has extensive martial arts skills ranging from Muay Thai (Chi) and Taekwondo (Foster) to traditional swordplay (Kang). What is the reason for the creators not to use stunt doubles, thereby increasing the realism of the fight scenes, which will be worked on by a fight choreographer from Hollywood Jennifer Phillips (Thor, 300 Spartans, X-Men: Origins. Wolverine).
The film tells the story of former killer Shen, who was betrayed by his boss Sebastian, the head of a large criminal empire. Having gathered his strength, Shen goes on a crusade against the mafia for the purpose of revenge. Taking advantage of the situation, the ruthless head of a rival syndicate, Damien, attempts to seize power in the city, unleashing an all-out war between the underworld lords. Having encountered many defeats along the way, Shen realizes that everything is much more complicated than he initially thought. Will Shen overcome his fear, or will he die in the fire?
The film is scheduled for release in February 2017.
