Meet the latest selection of action videos and short films from independent filmmakers.
1987: Blood Of The Bat
Director James Campbell has already pleased us with a dark short film called 1986 about the confrontation between famous comic characters Batman and the Punisher, paying homage to the old films about the world's greatest detective. Then the main role was played by a British martial artist and actor Lee Charles (“Courier”, “Never Give Up: Riot”, “Last Chance”).
Now the same team is back with a new Batman video that the director wants to show what he can do. Yes, we are talking about a full-fledged almost hour-long project about Batman, which James and the team raise funds through crowdfunding service IndieGoGo. Here's what the company description says:
“We've always wanted to come back and make another Batman fan film, but it always depended on what kind of story we wanted to do... now we have one - and we're so excited for you all to see it! With the movie "1987: Blood of the Bat" "We're going down a darker path with the sole purpose of making a kick-ass action horror short that we hope will blow people's minds... Who doesn't want to see Batman kill vampires!!!"
Kings
Creative association Rogue Origin Films and director Josh Maybee released their first original short film. Let us remind you that previously the guys were engaged in the film adaptation of battle scenes of characters well-known in the media.
The new film is completely original and refers the viewer to the franchise "Highlander", in which two immortals come together in battle.
The director of the fight scene is well known to us Christian Howard, and the central roles were performed by himself Josh Maybee and stuntman Jackie Tran.

A new video appeared on the channel of the creative association Distinctive Light Entertainment from a female stuntwoman and action director Yadi Nivier Centeno, who has been working in Hollywood for a long time.

Fans of action films may have already forgotten that once upon a time a talented actress ruled the roost in Thai hand-to-hand films Gija Yanin ("Chocolate", "Phoenix Raging", "Heel in the Eye"). Prince - on the same grounds as... Well, that is, either all three yes, or all three no. Well, maybe “Kung Fu Story,” although this is definitely the lower echelon of nominees.

Self-Isolated is a little funny and doesn't completely suck either.
Prince of Persia is shot beautifully and demonstrates some good parkour, although, of course, not David Belle. The fly in the ointment is how deliberately NPCs miss with their sabers.
Jiju Yanin was very happy to meet. I didn't even recognize her, damn it.
