Takeshi Kaneshiro likes close combat

Takeshi Kaneshiro и Peter Chan last week we visited Beijing People's University, where those present were shown a fight from the film “Wu Xia” между Takeshi Kaneshiro и Jiang Wu, which was cut from the Chinese theatrical version.

Filming this fight took a lot of energy from Kaneshiro. During the battle he had to Jiang Wu stand in the water and also use your umbrella as a weapon. Fortunately, the fight director helped him Donnie Yen, and thanks to his natural talent, the episode was filmed faster than expected.

However, during filming Kaneshiro I slipped and fell into the water several times. He almost took out his eye Jiang Wu, fortunately he managed to dodge. I was worried and Peter Chan. Takeshi said:

I'm happy with this fight. It was kind of fun for me! Of course, I have Donnie Yen to thank. I really appreciate his work. He had to not only act, but also stage fight scenes. I deeply felt his desire for perfectionism. Regardless of the complexity, he always tried to bring his work to perfection. No wonder everyone says that he is the greatest in the Universe.

Regarding another episode where it was necessary to stick a needle into the neck, Takeshi Kaneshiro admitted that he does not like needles. However, he realized that this scene was one of the key ones, so he decided to study. The team hired an acupuncturist for the filming. Kaneshiro recalls:

He explained everything to me in detail and demonstrated it, so I very quickly understood how and where to stick the needle. I agreed, but was afraid that I might stick it too deep into the neck. I just wanted to finish filming quickly so that I wouldn’t have to look at all these needles anymore, which made me feel uncomfortable.
