A film based on the Yakuza game, a new project by Jung Byung-gil, Daniel Bernhard in "The Matrix 4", Andrew Koji in "Bullet Train"

Cult gaming franchise Yakuza will receive a full-length adaptation with a high budget. This was stated by Dave McNary from the portal Variety, citing company officials Sega.

In case anyone doesn’t know, a series of games about the exploits of the young Japanese gangster Kiryu Kazuma first appeared back in 2005. Since then, eight franchise games have been released, two reboots, and several spin-offs. The games in the series have always sold well and acquired cult status among fans of this genre.

For film adaptation company Sega joined forces with manufacturing companies 1212 Entertainment и Wild Sheep. Producers are listed Eric Bismarck (series “Rain”, “Quicksand”), Roberto Grande (“Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark”) and Joshua Long ("The Omen").

The press release says that it is the last part of the game that is being filmed. "Yakuza: Like A Dragon", which is expected to be released on next-generation consoles.

It is interesting that the film adaptation "Yakuza" already available. A movie called "Like a Dragon" directed in 2007 by the multifaceted director Takashi Miike and then he played the main role Kazuki Kitamura. The name Miike-san is still being discussed in production circles when talking about the director of a new project in the universe "Yakuza". But for now the project is recruiting scriptwriters. And we will keep our finger on the pulse and guess who will get the main role...

Director of the 2017 South Korean hit "Villain" - Jung Byung-gil got his first Hollywood project. And no, this is not a TV series "To the villainess", as we originally expected (about project nothing has been heard yet), but Byung-gil’s new film will be an action thriller. And this already stirs up interest.

We're talking about a movie called Havoc (not to be confused with thriller of the same name Gareth Evans!). The film company is responsible for production Monarch Media. The script belongs to the pen Eric Tipton (“Mixed Signals”), but the idea for the story belongs to Steve Barnett (“300 Spartans”) and Daniel Myrick (The Blair Witch Project).

The plot of the upcoming thriller centers on the crew of an American helicopter that crashed on the North Korean side of the demilitarized zone. As tensions between North and South soon boil over into open confrontation, the surviving US Army reservists must protect a civilian technology specialist and escape the zone without the possibility of military support.

The start of filming of the project is scheduled for spring 2021. Knowing an interesting approach to action Jung Byung-gil, who himself started as a stuntman, the project is interesting to us. We will wait for the cast and new information.

Martial arts practitioner, actor, stuntman and director Daniel Bernhard (“John Wick”, “Atomic Blonde”) returned the role of Agent Johnson to participate in the fourth part of the cult franchise "Matrix".

The fact that the project has been launched into production, we already wrote. The filming process is now actively underway, which resumed in the summer after a break due to the pandemic.

At the director's helm is Lily Wachowski, and the main roles again went to Keanu Reeves и Carrie Anne-Moss.

Daniel played Agent Jackson in the second film of the original trilogy, becoming no less a dangerous rival for the film's heroes than Agent Smith from the first part.

How big Bernhard's role will be in the new film is unknown, but in any case we are happy for Daniel. Especially if they let him show himself again. Despite his 55 years, he is in excellent physical shape. Fans of Bernhard can only wait for the trailer, as well as the release of other projects announced with him: a fantastic action film "Skyline 3" and spy thriller "MR-9".

date of release "Matrix 4" assigned to April 1 2022 years.

TV series star "Warrior" - Japanese-British screen fighter Andrew Koji has been signed to star in the upcoming action thriller "High-speed train" (Bullet Train).

Мы already told that this film is an adaptation of a bestseller Kotaro Isaki and is directed by a former stuntman, and now a famous action film director David Leitch (“John Wick”, “Deadpool 2”, “Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw”).

According to the plot of the film, five professional killers find themselves on one high-speed train for a single purpose.

The main role in the film will be played by a Hollywood star Bred Pitt ("Fight Club"), and Andrew Koji got the role of one of the killers. It also became known that another hired killer will be played by a beauty Joey King (“Zeroville”).

Koji's career is obviously going uphill, because he is also assigned the role of Storm Shadow in the blockbuster "Snake Aes", the release date of which, unfortunately, was postponed to 21 2021 October, the.
