Will Donnie Yen retire after working on Ip Man 3?

Along with the recent good news that filming "Ip Man 3" gaining momentum , information has appeared on the Internet that will make fans of martial arts films worry. According to many resources, the third part of the film about Bruce Lee's teacher may become the last action film Donnie Yen.

The actor himself said the following:

At the moment, the most important issue for me is my body's ability to handle the stress that filmmaking requires. So IP Man 3 may indeed be my last action film.

Indeed, time does not spare anyone, and what a person can afford in his youth will be too much work for the elderly. Despite how young he looks Donnie Yen , he has already crossed the 50-year mark for more than a year.

In principle, it is too early to talk about leaving. And the actor himself has only admitted this possibility so far. Without a doubt, from the screens the face Donnie Yen it won't be for quite some time yet, because at least 2015 films with his participation are planned for 6 alone, among which will be "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2" And "Great master"(Tai See). In the end, for such an actor it will always be possible to find a suitable role that will not require anything supernatural from him.

"Who is the strongest fighter in China? Ip Man, I'm coming for you!"

Both Jackie and Donnie can try themselves in more dramatic roles. “Ocean Paradise” with Jet is a landmark for such a resource.
And given the capabilities of modern special effects and doubles... We will scold, but watch).
Nobody really (for a while - yes...) left the serious BI figures in cinema (category A)! Everyone is trying something again. Stallone, Schwartz, more modest - Seagal, Daniels are working, This is a movie))).
Also “Dragon” Wilson, even Rothrock are back))).
    Wrong - correct me).

Jackie Chan has been talking about retirement since the late 90s. But they still won’t let him go. So, I’m sure that Donnie will appear on the screen more than once...

It was a shame he abandoned The Expendables 2, oh, what a waste...

I would work with such legends - Stallone, Arnie, Van Damme, Norris

What I like about Donnie Yen is that he tries to work for you and me to this day. For people who understand the BI genre and know how to watch it. Many of his films may not have been successful, but they show his search and desire to hook the viewer of his genre. Unfortunately, Lee and Chan (most likely due to their age or becoming boring) stopped making such films about 10 years ago. They began (!) to work for the audience of a “wide circle”. You can't blame them, we love them for the past. I wouldn’t want Ian to join their ranks either.
