Game Sleeping Dogs came out in 2012. The main character is undercover cop Wei Shen, who returned from San Francisco to Hong Kong. He needs to infiltrate the largest criminal group in the city of Soon-on-yi. To do this, he contacts his childhood friend Jackie Ma, who introduces him to the criminal world. Gradually, major mafia bosses notice Wei Shen, and he begins to move up the career ladder - from a simple militant to the right hand of the leader of one of the gangs.
Donnie Yen will play the main role in the film adaptation.
