Obviously, the filmmakersDr. Strange“intended to please the audience with spectacular scenes of hand-to-hand combat. And for this, of course, good movie fighters are needed. Well, with an invitation to the cast Scott Adkins they clearly made the right decision.
For fans of combat cinema, Adkins needs no special introduction. And those fans of action films who are also fans of comic books simply dream and see Scott in the role of the Iron Fist. And some, very hardcore fans, want to see Adkins in the role of Wong, Doctor Strange's servant and assistant. And it doesn’t matter that in the Marvel comics, Wong is supposedly Chinese. So what? The role of Heimdal in “Thor” is not played by the Nordic Idris Elba.
However, it may turn out that Adkins’ participation in “Doctor Strange"will be much more modest, much like in another comic book film in which he took part earlier. Well, yes, in that very film about the origin of Wolverine, where Scott, made up beyond recognition, acted as Weapon XI and did not even receive a mention in the credits.
But in any case, an interesting movie with an impressive cast is expected. Let me remind you that the title role is played by Benedict Cumberbatch, and he is supported by such diverse and extravagant actors as Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Chevetel Ejeyofor, Mads Michelsen and Michael Stuhlbarg. The film is directed by Scott Derrickson, who previously specialized in mystical thrillers and horror films.
Doctor Strange is scheduled to premiere on November 4, 2016.
