The remake of "Shaolin Temple" will begin filming in 2013

Recently the company "Enlight Pictures" announced plans to remake the film "Shaolin Temple" 1982. The media conference was attended by the abbot as a special guest Shaolin Shi Yongxin, thereby expressing their support. Managing director "Enlight Pictures" Wang Changtian promised that the film would be made at the highest level and that it would represent the spirit Shaolin with his famous kung Fu, moreover, in 3D format.

The main character of the new film will be the same monk Jueyuan. At the moment, the producer is looking for a talented newcomer who is fluent in martial arts for this role.

The actor who is chosen will have to spend some time in Shaolinwhere he will practice kung Fu and live a monastic life. This will further allow the actor to display the true culture and essence on screen Shaolin.

It is possible that the creators will invite you to play one of the roles. Jet Li.

In the remake "Shaolin Temple" will use the latest Hollywood 3D-technologies used in the film "The Avengers" (The Avengers) and will bring in top-notch international talent to help with pre-production and post-production.

Wang Changtian said that the main priority in creating a remake is, if possible, bringing all components to ideal, while box office revenue is a secondary goal.

At the center of the events is the story of how a monk Jueyuan with his friends the monks save Emperor Taizong (Li Shimin) of the dynasty Thane from reprisals from a ruthless warlord. Despite the similarities with the 1982 original, the plot of the remake will be more fundamental and historically complete, unlike the previous film, where, according to Vana, there were a lot of holes in the narrative.

Wang Changtian: The plot is based on historical facts. We will do our best to follow them as closely as possible. In addition to a series of historical events, we will write an excellent script. With this we hope to show the connection between Shaolin and the country during a turbulent era, the connection between monks and society, the connection between an individual and a group of people. This way we will convey the true essence of the Shaolin Temple!

In order to achieve the best result, preparations for the production of the remake will be extended for a whole year. Filming is expected to begin in August or September 2013. The film is planned to be released in 2014.

Personally, I like the old school better than modern action films where everyone is a master of wushu.

For those who at that time watched "The Travelers Club" and looked forward to the release of at least a tiny piece from the film "Shaolin Martial Arts" once a week, this is not bullshit.

All the same, all these Shaolin temples, at least 1, at least 2 at least 35, are bullshit and that’s it.

Of course I want to watch this film, I hope the film will attract actors like Jackie Wu, Hungg Yu, perhaps Yu Hai and Jet Li, and not some snotty arrogant youth idols...

Regarding the movie "Shaolin Temple" - it was one of the first mainland films that came to us (usually films from Hong Kong and Taiwan). Yes, the plot and acting skills are not brilliant, but the technique shown - these were real masters of Chinese Wushu! Although the fights are not the best, this is due to the lack of experience of the Chinese fight directors. But nevertheless, the film is worthy of respect and praise.

PS I can’t help but add about the third part of the trilogy about Shaolin (what was shown in the USSR as “Martial Arts of Shaolin”) - the same actors, the plot is usual, but the director of the fights has changed (the well-known Liu Chia-Liang) and... The film became the very first film for many of us, the one that influenced the rest of our lives, plunging us into the world of the great Chinese art - wushu! :)

Shaolin Temple 1982 with Li Lianjie, the best movie!

I love Jet Li, but I don’t understand why Shaolin Temple is the best movie, it has primitive action scenes and a primitive plot.

RZA has a cameo in TYUG2.
    By the way:
Destiny has its way of being followed controlled and simply fated without our knowing. Well here is a case of a mixture of the three. When I was working on "The man with the Iron Fists" I had planned on having Tony Jaain the film. Due to sc
hedules and other parameters it couldn't come to fruition. Yet thru our martial common thread Tony and his team invited me to Thailand to work on his new film TYG2 in 3D. And to basically join in on some serious ass kicking. I accepted and here we are together on set. Tony and I have been comrades for nearly 7 years. It's great to finally get to work together. We are both avid martial art fans and plan on doing future collaborations. If "The man with the Iron Fist" hits it's projected mark we could be seeing Tony Jaajoining the cast of the sequel.
    Let's make it happen. Peace

Well, now, so as not to be accused of discrimination, all that remains is to invite Justin Bieber.

Shaolin with Jet Li does not look good at all, I hope the new film will be made better, although I have not seen a single normal film about Shaolin.
