A remake of The Raid will be made after all

After a series of negotiations the company "Screen Gems" purchased the rights to film a remake of the Indonesian action film Gareth Evans "The Raid".

The company will provide financing "XYZ Films", who worked on the original. Gareth Evans will serve as executive producer but will not be involved in directing or writing the script.

Representatives "Screen Gems" announced in a statement on Wednesday that the fight directors from the first film would be involved in the remake.

The president of the company will oversee the process. "Screen Gems" Clint Culpepper.
