Detailed plot, posters and stills from Dante Lama's film "MMA"

After serving time in prison for taking part in illegal boxing fights, 48-year-old Fai finds himself neck-deep in debt with no prospects for the future. Hiding from creditors, Fai flees to Macau and seeks help from his old friend Shui. At one time, Fi was a contender for the boxing championship title, but now he is a broken man who can only work as a janitor at the gym and as an assistant instructor for weight loss classes. Being broke, Fi agreed to share housing with the recovering mentally ill Gwen and her ten-year-old daughter Dan. Despite the fact that cohabitation began with hostility, the relationship gradually develops into something like a family, and Fi becomes their patron.

The hot-tempered youth Qi was once the son of a rich man from mainland China. However, the family business fell apart, after which his father fell into depression and drowned it out with alcohol. This forced Qi to earn extra money to survive on the Macau black market. To encourage his father to get back on his feet, Qi signs up for an open MMA tournament and begins training at the gym where Fai works.

The tandem's hard work, with Fai as a coach and Qi as a fighter, pays off, and the young man wins the tournament three times in a row. Thanks to his son's victories, the father finds the strength to recover. However, Qi's fourth opponent is Li Yuan-Heng, a fighter known for his brutality in the ring.

What Fai feared happens - Qi is seriously injured at the hands of Heng and ends up in the hospital in critical condition. Amazed by Qi's tenacity and unwillingness to give up even in the face of certain defeat, Fai rediscovers his fighting spirit and challenges Heng to a formal duel. What is the limit of the capabilities of the 48-year-old body of Fai with the fighting spirit awakened in him?

Starring: Nick Chun (Nick Cheung) Eddie Pan (Eddie Peng) Ting May (Ting Mei) Andy He (Andy On) Jack Kao (Jack Kao) Fei'er Li (Feier Li), etc. The film is due out in June 2013.

It’s very suitable for a desktop background, for special Dolph fans of course.
