On the set of "Viy 2"

As is already known, the filming of the film “Viy 2. Travel to China", will be held in three countries. At the moment, the film crew is working at Mosfilm. We can already partially appreciate the fragments of the fight choreography that Master Chan creates.

The plot of the film, continuing the theme of Gogol's Viy, will illustrate the legends of different nations about a dark otherworldly force that strives to penetrate the human world. To the character Jackie Chan will have to meet with Peter I. And the main female role will be played by actress Yao Xintong.

The film will be the result of the first full-fledged cooperation between Russia and China.
Filming will end in March 2016. And we will wait with trepidation for the continuation of the mythical saga.

I haven’t watched the first part, I’m waiting in the wings (although I don’t know if it’s worth watching :)). Well, of course I’ll watch the second one, for the sake of Jack and China. :)

      - it’s better to read Gogol’s work first to be in the know. And then watch the classic Soviet "Viy" from 1967
      ;-)

        Dmitry Secretev,

I'm actually older than you think. ;) This is what I mean, I read and watched. ) That’s why I wrote that I don’t know whether it’s worth watching the first part or not. ;)

It may not be worth it, but it can be classified as a “family movie.” Age category 12+. The main actress is beautiful. A very spectacular other world and its characters. A good blockbuster of the "night/day watch" level. The added storylines to the classic Gogol can be confusing at first. But upon closer examination they do not interfere. :-)
