A new Transporter trilogy is coming

Company Luc Besson "EuropaCorp" merges with Chinese company "Fundamental Films" Mark Gao with the aim of producing three new films in the series "Carrier" (Transporter).

The companies signed a 3-year contract last July to film the trilogy with a budget of 30 to 40 million dollars.

"Fundamental Films", in addition to participating in the co-production and distribution of films in China, will act as a share investor for all three films.

Christophe Lambert, CEO of EuropaCorp: Our contract with Fundamental Films will allow us to release one film annually in China, the proceeds of which will be distributed between the companies.

One of the three parts will most likely be filmed in China, which qualifies as a French-Chinese co-production.

Christophe Lambert: We are delighted to be teaming up with Fundamental Films on the next three Transporter films, especially after the worldwide success of the first three.

Lambert added that "Carrier 3", released in China by "Fundamental Films", proved to be extremely successful commercially.

The first two films made Louis Leterrier, collected $43.9 million and $85.1 million at the global box office, respectively, and were distributed in various territories by the company Fox. Third film from the director Olivier Megaton and distributor Lionsgate collected $108.9 million.

Christophe Lambert: Fox has its own vision of the trilogy, while Lionsgate has its own.

Nevertheless, Lambert didn’t say whether he’ll return Jason Statham in the role of Frank Martin, a tough special forces soldier who became a hired courier.

Development of the fourth part has already begun. The candidacy of the director has not yet been determined.

You have already greatly exaggerated) The carrier is not such a legendary picture that has passed through decades and generations.

I think without Statham it's like Rambo without Stallone or Terminator without Schwartz!

Let's go without Statham...he's already done his part in the carrier.
