Mark Dacascos and Juju Chan in Wu Assasins, new projects by Jean-Paul Lee, Vincent Zhao and Scott Adkins

To the cast of an interesting series from Netflix called Wu Assassins с Iko Uwaisom и Byron Mann starring, joined Mark Dacascos и Juju Chan.

The project, which is scheduled for release in 2019, has begun to be replenished with actors we know. And this is good, because the series is positioned as a fusion of crime action and urban fantasy with elements of hand-to-hand combat and mysticism. In this vein, joining the star of hand-to-hand action films of the 90s Mark Dacascos looks more than encouraging. For Mark, who just recently finished filming the upcoming Hollywood action movie "John Wick 3", starring in TV series is nothing new. Firstly, Dacascos started his acting career with them, and secondly, at one time he played the main role in the series "The Raven: Stairway to Heaven" (1998-1999), he also appeared in such TV series as "Chinese policeman", "Tales from the Crypt", "Stargate: Atlantis", "Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight", "The Legend of Bruce Lee", "Hawaii 5.0", "Lucifer", "Way" and others.

Juju Chan is an action film actress who you may know for her starring role in the Australian independent action film "Dragon Fist" (2014), as well as participation in projects such as "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny" (2016) "Wild Dog" (2017) and "Invincible Dragon" (2018)

Let us remind you that the series will consist of 10 episodes and will tell the story of how the last representative of a mysterious clan of killers named Kai Jin arrives in Chinatown with the goal of restoring the balance of power in the world and gets caught up in the intertwining of events related to gang warfare.

Besides Iko Uwaisa (dulogy “Raid”), Byron Man ("Street Fighter"), Mark Dacascos (“Drive”) and Juju Chan, the series featured: a taekwondo champion, a former bodyguard and, part-time, the star of the series "Vikings" - Katheryn Winnick, Lewis Tan ("Deadpool 2"), Raresh DiMofte (TV series “The Man in the High Castle”) and others.

Keep your finger on the pulse and wait for the trailer!

Trailers for the films "Prison Break", "Romantic Warrior" and "False City" 2

Stuntman and actor Jean-Paul Ly burst into the world of independent action cinema suddenly, but it seems he is going to at least take root in it, although we wish this movie fighter every development. Last year, a Cambodian hand-to-hand action film was released starring him "Jail break", and already in the current year, two other projects with Lee in the title role were recently released: a full-length action film "Night Shooting" and a short film "Department". And an independent British action movie is getting ready for release. "Amber".

But the young actor does not stop adding projects to his portfolio. Thus, it recently became known that Jean-Paul Lye began acting in a hand-to-hand action film called "14 fists" (14 Fists) by British director Barta Ruspoli, which mainly specializes in horror films (Devil's Games, Kryptic, World War of the Dead: Rise of the Fallen).

On his Facebook, Jean-Paul Lye boasted that he was able to attract film actors from different countries for this project.

Let's make this crazy party! – he suggested.

Unfortunately, there is no other information about the future project yet. But we will definitely serve this project.

Not inferior to Jean-Paul Lee in the number of projects is his older and experienced colleague from China - Vincent Zhao (“Blade”, “Udan”, “God of War”), from whom we are expecting several interesting projects.

And if the "Alliance of Heroes" has already been released (and you can even find it where you usually look for it), then here it is "Kung Fu League" и "Invisible tattoo" release is yet to come. However, Zhao signed on to film a TV series called "Fearless". Yes, yes, this is another attempt to tell the story of the Chinese national hero Huo Yuanjia, about whom many films and TV series have been made, the most notable of which is the biopic of Ronnie Yu "Fearless" (2006) starring Jet Li.

Tellingly, Zhao already played Master Huo in a 2001 TV series. Vincent will be accompanied by a serial actress Nikita Mao (“Love, Life and Lies”), who will play the protagonist’s beloved wife.

The series is scheduled to start in 2019, but we don’t know anything else about it.

And finally, we can’t ignore the next project of the already quite strong tandem of director Jesse W. Johnson and movie fighter Scott Adkins called "Revenge" (Avengement).

It is interesting that in this film Scott will meet again with the actor Louis Mandylor, which already released a good action movie in 2018 "Collector" also directed by Johnson.

"Vengeance" tells the story of a lowly criminal named Kane Burgess, who is led by fate on a bloody path of revenge against his former bosses. However, in order to take revenge, the main character will have to “sneak into” a strict prison and try to survive there.

In addition to Adkins and Mandylor, the film featured: Craig Fairbrass ("Climber"), Nick Moran ("Accident"), Irish heavyweight boxer Joe Egan and others.

The film is due out in 2019, but a poster and a couple of photos from the set have already surfaced.

Please tell me, is “Prison Escape” with Lee and “Alliance of Heroes” with Zhao already available with translation, or do I need to learn Cambodian and Chinese? :)

      Alexander,

“Escape” definitely has Russian dubbing. "Alliance" came across in the original with English subtitles.
