Quite a long time ago, a trailer for another joint project appeared on the Internet. Scott Adkins and director Jesse W. Johnson called "Debt Collector" (The Debt Collector). Previously the film was called "Pay in full" and we already mentioned about him.
Synopsis: a man nicknamed the Frenchman works at a gym as a hand-to-hand combat instructor, but he hasn't paid his bills for a long time. To make ends meet, the hero decides to work on Suey, who collects debts for local crime bosses. The work looks simple, until one day the hero gets involved in serious problems because of his client.
Adkins got the on-screen duet Louis Mandylor (“End of the Day”), and the following actors make up the company of these two: Michael Pare ("Streets on Fire") Tony Todd ("Candyman") Vladimir Kulikh ("The Great Leveler") Selina Lo ("The Scorpion King 3: Book of the Dead"), David No (TV series "Altered Carbon") and others.
The local fight choreography was headed by someone we knew Luke LaFontaine ("Wild Dog", "Casualty", "Triple Threat"), among the stuntmen we noticed Brand Musashi, Michael Lehr и Aaron Tony.

There was a riot on it, and now the out-of-control criminals are directing the station towards Moscow. Only a pilot, a rookie doctor and a former CIA agent, who has his own plans for both the terrorists and the station, can stop the disaster.
In addition to Adkins, the film featured: Dominic Power ("A Purely English Murder") Aaron McCusker (TV series “24 Hours”), Alaa Umuzun (“Doctor Strange”) and others.
The film went into limited release in the US May 4 2018 year.
We finish the selection with a film whose country of origin is Egypt. It's about a military action movie. "War in Karmuz" (Karmooz Wars).
The director and screenwriter of the project is listed Peter Mimi (TV series Kalabash). Adkins played the main negative role in the film.
Protagonist Amir Karara plays a policeman who, in the midst of civil unrest in the Karmuz district of Alexandria, saves a girl from rapists. But the main opponent of the protagonist is a fugitive criminal who decided to bring violence to the masses.

We got our hands on the “Debt Collector”. A good movie for a beer. The fights are so-so, but the acting of Scott and his partner, the atmosphere of the film is on a par with “Accident.”
I watched “Incoming” yesterday. IMHO - "hat". Scott is working a guest (albeit controversial) role in something like a teleplay for 10 actors, where you can only highlight a couple of knife fights... that's it. The Serbian debut is a miss.
But "Accident" by Jesse Johnson, as well as the same director, "Debt Collector - pleased me! A sort of "John Wick" for the poor, but that doesn’t mean it was filmed poorly! And the phrase: “The problem with Russian jocks is... that they need to be hit suddenly and preferably with something metal" was generally a pleasure... The action is good (Tim Man? - he was in one of the scenes), although too staged, Jay White lazily blocked Adkins' blows in a funny way, it was felt that he restrains himself))). Ray Park pleased, Stevenson, as always, is at his best. But the main thing with Johnson is that Scott Adkins PLAYS, and does not just go from action scene to action scene.... In general, a tandem: director Jesse Johnson - actor Scott Adkins makes me happy.

Well, he’s trying there))), there’s like a “twist” in the plot. But you can skip it. Without damage. IMHO of course.
It's just that compared to two films from Jesse Johnson with his participation, this film is very weak.
