Two new projects by Jackie Chan and Huayi Brothers

The Hollywood Reporter reports: successful cooperation Jackie Chan with Chinese studio Huayi Brothers continues. Two new films are set to begin production this year - one set in New York City and the other in the vast wasteland on the outskirts of China. Unfortunately, the project descriptions leave much to be desired...

The statement, which was made on Sunday at a press conference in Shanghai, among other things, said that the first project, which is a thriller/action film, has a “working” title Manhattan (Manhattan). Jackie Chan will not only act as a producer, but also play a role "a dark hero who conducts conversations with love and hate."

The “working” Chinese title of the second project with Chan is "Wolf Flag" / "Wolf Banner" (Wolf Flag). This "a mournful ode hidden in the wounded desert", in other words, a kind of epic about the war in the above-mentioned territory.

Both films are scheduled for release in 2014.

I haven’t seen the video, but I’m glad that Jackie has a lot of different projects ahead!

Does anyone have video from the press conference? Otherwise, after such a description, I doubt its correct translation from Chinese. “Torn between love and hate” or “meditating on love and hate” would be more appropriate.
