Two new films are set to begin production this year - one set in New York City and the other in the vast wasteland on the outskirts of China. The statement, which was made on Sunday at a press conference in Shanghai, among other things, said that the first project, which is a thriller/action film, has a “working” title Manhattan (Manhattan). Jackie Chan will not only act as a producer, but also play a role "a dark hero who conducts conversations with love and hate."
The “working” Chinese title of the second project with Chan is "Wolf Flag" / "Wolf Banner" (Wolf Flag). This "a mournful ode hidden in the wounded desert", in other words, a kind of epic about the war in the above-mentioned territory.
Both films are scheduled for release in 2014.
