Comedy Western called "Johnny Black Outlaw" was announced back in 2018, after which the project was shelved. But, apparently, the film is being prepared for immediate release.
Synopsis: To avenge his father's death, runaway slave Johnny Black vows to shoot Brett Clayton and becomes the most wanted man in the process. He goes into hiding, posing as a preacher in a small mining town that has been captured by a notorious land baron, whom he will have to get rid of.
He plays the main role Michael Jai White (“Universal Soldier 2”, “Tyson”), and he is accompanied by: Byron Minns ("Black Dynamite") Anika Noni Rose ("Love songs"), Kevin Chapman ("The Boondock Saints") Paul Sloan ("The Scorpion King") Paul Logan (“Flock”), Roger Yuan ("Dune"), former MMA fighters Donald Cerrone ("Spencer's Justice") Randy Couture (The Expendables franchise) Josh Barnett (“Never Give Up 3”) and others.
The film is due to go into limited release in the fall - 15 September 2023 years.
