New projects by Wesley Snipes, Alain Moussi and Max Zhang

Once a popular action film actor (and simply a good actor) Wesley Snipes After his release from prison, he was never able to restore his successful career in Hollywood. Despite the fact that the actor returned with good action roles in the series "Player" (2015) and films "Armed Response" (2017) and "Return" (2017), the rise even in the “B” category field has stalled again. Since then, Snipes has appeared only in minor roles in comedies "My name is Doleymite" (2019) and "Coming to America 2" (2021), yes in crime thriller "Town of Thugs" (2020). But it seems that Wesley has a new high-profile project brewing.

In any case, this is how he speaks of the still unnamed project, which Snipes himself dubbed the “Blade killer.” The actor told reporters that his mystical action movie will outshine the upcoming one restart "Blade" from Marvel starring Mahershala Ali.

We will place our character in the world of werewolves and time travel. We once filmed the original "Blade", being in white belts, but now we are already wearing black ones.

Unfortunately, there is no more information about the future project. And only time will tell whether Snipes' plans will come true. Would you like to see the aged Blade back in action?

Martial artist, stuntman and actor Alain Moussi (the “Kickboxer”, “Jiu-Jitsu” duology) also received a new project.

We are talking about a hand-to-hand action movie called "King of Killers" (King of Killers), which will be an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name. The script was given to the American filmmaker Kevin Grevier (Underworld franchise, I Am Frankenstein). He will also take the director's chair and play one of the roles.

The plot of the upcoming action film will revolve around a professional killer who is forced to take part in a deadly assassin tournament worth 10 million dollars in the setting of modern Tokyo just to save his daughter.

Moussi himself described the project as “light and fun,” also noting that director Grevier has a brilliant vision of the action component of the world "King of Killers".

According to the news agency Screen Daily, filming of the action film will begin in October 2021 in Los Angeles and Tokyo. The production process was taken over by the film company Eclipse International.

It seems Moussi won't finish his work. threequel "Kickboxer" due to the fact that he is constantly “pulled” to other roles. Until recently, a faceless stuntman, today has every chance of becoming a B-category action movie star.

A Chinese martial artist and actor has also acquired a new project. Max Zhang (“From Vegas to Macau”, “Ip Man 3”, “Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy”).

A new urban action movie with his participation called "Kowloon Walled City" (Kowloon Walled City) is based on the popular 2010 comic book series "City of Darkness" by the artists Andy Seto и Urey.

The upcoming film is about a famous gangster and martial artist known as Kang, who after a confrontation with his boss went into hiding in the walled city of Kowloon. There he must regain his position, building authority from the very bottom.

The film is produced by himself Wilson Yip (Ip Man franchise) along with John Chon ("Invincible Dragon") from the company Media Asia... Despite the fact that "Kowloon Walled City" already presented at the film market EFM, the project still does not have a director. But the official cast is already known.

Besides Max Zhang, other stars will take part in the action movie: Louis Koo (Storm franchise) and Ricci Ren (“The Three Poisons of the Mind”, “The Horse”).

Well, let's keep our finger on the pulse and hope that the project doesn't disappear on the back burner, as happened with the action movie "Ten Ton Killer".

I don't mind Moussi becoming a B-movie star. But he needs to stay away from such nonsense as Jiu-Jitsu.
