On November 25, a full-fledged promotional video from the Cannes Film Market appeared on the Quiet Earth website. Director Gordon Chan took on the film adaptation of the popular video game series “The King of Fighters,” which was released on various consoles, from Gameboy to Xbox 360, and even on PC.
The film looks good, at least as good as Corey Ewen's action movie DOA: Dead or Alive. The video itself is nothing more than the usual sequence of well-choreographed action scenes. What the author liked most about the trailer were the fiery punches, the presence of different dimensions and the presence of actor Ray Park, who played the role of Darth Maul in Star Wars.
In addition to Ray Park, “The King of Fighters,” set for release in 2010, also stars Maggie Q and Sean Faris.
Brief description of the plot:
The last surviving descendants of three legendary clans move non-stop through various dimensions, testing their fighting skills against the forces of evil that seek to invade and infect the real world.
