And just recently the screenwriter Greg Russo published on social networks a photo of the title page of the finished script for the future film based on MK. Following him, Hollywood director and producer James Wan (“Aquaman”), who has long been assigned to this project, told reporters that the new film based on the game "Mortal Kombat" will still happen, but it will be positioned as a restart of the franchise, and not threequelwho he was meant to become.

Interestingly, the new full-length Mortal Kombat will be entirely filmed and edited in South Australia, becoming the most expensive project for the country's film industry. Mostly, filming will take place in Adelaide Adelaide Studios. According to Wang, the film crew involved in the project has extensive experience in film production around the world. Visual and special effects will also be created in world-renowned Australian studios.

A local advertising video specialist has been appointed to direct the film. Simon McQuoid, for which "Mortal Kombat" will be her debut in a big movie. Besides James Wang, took over producing duties E. Bennett Walsh ("Men and Black: International"), Michael Clear ("Nun"), Sean Robins (“You drive!”) and producer of the original duology and the TV series of the same name Lawrence Kasanoff.

And while all fans of the game series and original films are wondering what characters will appear in the future film and who will play them, we can say that the official cast has long included an action movie actor Darren Shahlavi, who played the role of Kano in the web series "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" (2011), but unfortunately Darren died in 2015 year.

The film is scheduled for release in March 2021 years. And we are keeping our finger on the pulse: news about the project will be coming soon as filming begins "Mortal Kombat" planned for the end of 2019.

Amidst all the hype, MK fans didn't forget to ask questions about the "lost" web series "Mortal Kombat: Generations" (Mortal Kombat X: Generations), which was filmed in 2015 as a kind of addition to the tenth part of the game franchise, but never reached the mass audience due to disagreements between Warner Bros. и NetherRealm Studios.

It’s a pity, since the cast included familiar action movie actors: Mark Dacascos, Kasper Van Din и Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa returned to their roles as monk Kung Lao, actor Johnny Cage and black magician Shang Tsung, respectively. These are the actors who played in the second season Mortal Kombat: Legacy.

But they appeared in "Generations" and new characters: Ray Park (“Accident”) played Outworld mercenary Erron Black; BooBoo Stewart ("American Devil") brought to life Kenshi's son Takeda, and Lewis Tan (TV series "In the Desert of Death") played a distant relative of Kung-Lao - Kung-Jin. The role of Scorpio in "Generations" has moved away Ron Yuan (TV series "Marco Polo"), and the daughters of Johnny Cage and Jackson Briggs played Haley Lu Richardson ("Split") and Pippi Sonuga (TV series "Ash vs. the Living Dead").

When the director and stunt coordinator of "Generations" Garrett Warren ("Amazon Treasures", "Alita: Battle Angel") were asked if the series should be expected today, he replied:

The series was filmed, but Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios were never able to decide on the purpose for which the project was being prepared. Ultimately, if we want to see Generations, then fans should put their hands out and loudly declare that they want to see the third season of this web series. Maybe they'll listen.

Famous melee franchise "Undeniable", which includes four films, may become a TV series!

The director of the second and third films, as well as the producer of the fourth, spoke about this - Isaac Florentine. Moreover, Florentine already has all the necessary agreements for filming, which will take place in Europe.

The plot will again unfold around the most famous prison fighter Yuri Boyka, whose image was embodied on the big screen by a British action film actor Scott Adkins.

By the way, it is not yet known who will play Boyka in the series, but we would look at some new, younger actor in this role.

Production of the series Undistuted scheduled for March 2020. Accordingly, it is unlikely that we will see the series earlier than 2021.

Without Adkins, Boyko is not Boyko... And there definitely won’t be a film (
