Friends! 2016 was a fruitful year for action films. Fans of action-packed films had plenty to choose from: comic book blockbusters, expensive action films with A-list stars, sequels and remakes, independent and fan films. This year, action films came from different countries, viewers saw long-awaited long-term construction projects, many old stars of the genre returned to action cinema, and there were also interesting joint projects.
It's time to sum up the results of action films for 2016, which is gradually coming to an end. Summing up will take place in several stages:
First Stage. We will post a list of nominations, which will be divided into major and minor, for each of which visitors to our VK public page will need to propose a nominee. For each individual nomination, only one option can be proposed. It is advisable that next to the nominee there is an explanation of why this particular option was chosen.
Example:
Nomination "Best Action Film Actor 2016"
Option: Donnie Yen - because he was a good Ip Man, kicked some ass in The Hidden Dragon and appeared in the new Star Wars.
Step two. After we have collected the maximum number of options from VK users during the first stage, towards the end of the year we will post voting for each nomination with your options. Voting will be closed.
Stage three. After receiving the voting results for all nominations, we will post information about the top three for each nomination on the website fight-films.info.
All three stages of summing up the results of 2016 in action cinema are expected to be completed before the end of January 2017.
Strange, for some reason the comment is not added as a response to another comment. Goes to spam?
Hmm, so - added.
Question: where is the frame on the left in the middle from? The one between Yen and Adkins?
Wave,
This is from the final showdown of Die Fighting.
They will probably not understand me and even throw “pokes at me?”, but for me the best martial arts film of 2016 is “The Shallows”.
?
Elbrus Nukite, is this the one about the shark? What does it have to do with martial arts?
Elbrus Nukite,
The main thing is that there is no Showdown in Manila or whatever it is.
I was hoping Yuvays Headshot would come out in 2016 =(
Lindolion,
No, we will see him in 2017 already.
Oh, great idea! And the most important thing is to notice why certain films are good, and not just a cool film and that’s it!
As for SUPER BODYGUARD - good in places! But the cable and, as previously noted, an INCREDIBLE NUMBER OF GLUES blur the entire viewing experience.
I think that the director told the editor - WE NEED TO LEAVE ALL THE ANGLES WE HAVE SHOT - said the director.
How? - answered the editor.
Well, that’s why you’re an editor,” the director summed it up.
And the continuous work of the mind and physics began.
I'm sure that's how it happened.
Definitely this film is still something of a good spot in the cinema of 2016.
EXCELLENT, by the way, COLLAGE of photos!!! Who did it???
Jaidev,
Alexander Byrsa.
The idea of ratings and results is great!
And also.
1. I suggest that someone do a SERIOUS final article on the year, somewhere by the end of December.
2. Also create a list of interesting films with BI (from blockbusters to indie films) for 2017 for tracking. Some films don’t even make it through Kinopoisk, but it’s a “hunt” to take a look)).
At the end of next year, summarize the expectations for this list accordingly.
Alex,
Yes, we’ll think about the materials and try to implement it.
Super bodyguard, damn. How can you film in China in a Western style?
If this Yue Song is such a tough athlete, why does he need so many splices? He doesn't use doubles all the time.
Scenes change plans so many times, without any logic, that it gave me a headache.
Tell me, over the last 5 years, have the Chinese been making generally normal movies with fights? (Less cables, flights, not fantastic-historical) Except for those in which famous actors play.
Sometimes filmed, Yue Sun's first film King of the Streets, Once Upon a Time in Shanghai, A True Legend.
Andrey,
They shoot a lot, the tastes just get boring, you need to surprise more and more. Once in Shanghai you can watch. An old bodyguard for once, the forbidden kingdom, a hot spot.
uranium,
Well, tastes are clear. I just want to watch normal fights, even without a plot and all that.
I'll watch the films listed, thank you.
Jackie Chan deserves to be the Best Action Film Actor 2016. After all, he released the film “On the Trail”. Plus, "Railway Tigers" will be released in December.
Super bodyguard is complete bullshit, I didn’t expect it. Looked it up on YouTube.
Of the veterans, only Donnie is afloat, Adkins and Jaa are in creative stagnation. I think Donnie will win.
You should watch Super Bodyguard before voting!
Alexander, It was planned to be voted on, it seems...
And the super bodyguard won’t be shown in 2016, he will have to be touched, judging by the trailers, he will outdo Donnie Yen, even though this actor is the best for me!
Alexander, “Super Bodyguard” is already online, I watched it from YouTube some time ago.
Cables, cables, cables and nothing else (including no sophisticated technology).
Alexander,
Super Bodyguard can already be watched, it’s even on YouTube, although without translation. I didn't like the movie, I expected more based on the trailers
amuo,
I agree, you can watch the first 15 minutes, then it sucks
Alexander, The super bodyguard is unlikely to fall under attack; it is not a fact that he will arrive in time for us this year.
barsug,
Well, why won't it hit? The film was released a long time ago and is available on torrents and YouTube. If you wish, you can find it and watch it.
