The path to realizing the film remake"House by the road" (Road House) was, to put it mildly, thorny. It appears that the screenwriter of the original 1989 film Patrick Swayze, R. Lance Hill (who writes his screenplays under the name David Lee Henry) is suing the filmmakers of the new film, alleging that they used artificial intelligence to reproduce the actors' voices during post-production. Since 2021, he has been fighting to obtain all copyrights for the film and ban it from distribution - so far unsuccessfully. Apparently, Lee Henry's efforts were one of the reasons for the film's refusal to release in theaters. "Road House" will be broadcast only on streaming platforms. However, such a limited screening of the film does not mean that it is bad, this is just the situation.
Let's take a break from the scandals and admire the new large poster, in which the key characters are conducting a battle of views. Played the main character Jake Gyllenhaal, and his antagonist is a UFC star, Conor McGregor, about whose film debut previously stated.
Film made Doug Lyman (The Bourne Identity), a reimagining of the 1989 cult classic, stars Gyllenhaal as a former UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys diner. However, a local gang led by McGregor's hero disrupts all his plans for a quiet life.
Garrett Warren (Best of the Best 4, Double Dragon) choreographed the stunts, Brian Sloyer and Chad Guerrero performed them.
