Pilot episode of the web series "Drained World"

We first learned about this project back last october. The pilot episode should have appeared back then, oh, apparently, from the creators. By the way, the creators - Z Team (Die Fighting). Most likely, the delay in the project's release was due to the budget, since even in the first issue the creators turn to fans for help.

The web series "Drained World" takes place in 2080, many years after World War III, when the human race almost disappeared from the face of the Earth due to constant conflicts and violence. The survivors endlessly wage internecine wars. Nobody needs money, at least not in this world. Here, the bargaining chips are clean water and food fit for consumption, and in order to survive, people will not hesitate to take the lives of others.

“Die Fighting” has good fights, but I didn’t like the plot, but Fabien Garcia is an excellent athlete.

        Ravenside:

He’s good as an athlete, but not so much as an actor; Jet Li is good as an actor, he knows how to show emotions well, but unfortunately he loves ropes.

I remember the teaser and I remember the only comment to it - my own. After watching the pilot episode I joined him. Since the series was shot, apparently, for a pittance, it really lacks flavor. Some details are very good - plans of destroyed skyscrapers, a beautiful cave-arch, but, in general, there are very few details. They are dressed as if from a boutique, so neat, the girl’s face is so unobtrusively dirty, but her eyes are lined and her lips are painted. Everyone has gadgets. In general, it doesn’t smell like a post-apocalypse. Although... who knows what he will be like? Maybe all that is outside our window is the post-apocalypse. But not enough for a movie.

Fabien Garcia still on "Die Fighting" left the impression of a well-trained, but not very bright screen character. The acting's presentation is still very lacking. In a situation where there are very few words, but many close-ups of faces, the facial expressions must be accurate, the energy must flow. But okay, it’s all lyrics.

What about fighting games? Normal average production with all the standard pros and cons. Good rhythm, but the opponents are one at a time. Sometimes the editing and angles are lame - arms/legs are cut off, but there are very good camera tricks, rotations around an axis, and sometimes appropriate post-processing. And why does he hit his enemies in the head with stones and axes so much, but they still don’t die? A couple of times would have been enough, hard, clear, it would have looked much more impressive, as in the case when the enemy fell and hit a stone lying on the ground.

It seems to me that if this is a post-apocalypse, then it is no longer necessary to do muted color processing, it is not necessary to do this sepia. This is already banal and looks cheaper.

Laurent Buson It doesn't look very good in the post-credits interview.

Ravenside, damn, that's right, it's from “Die Fighting” man! And this film made a very good impression on me. That is, I like realistic and effective production much more, but I also respect this kind of sophisticated trickery.
The pilot of the series is much weaker than the film, but it also doesn’t look the same.
Ravenside, respect for your detailed comment! To the point, sensibly, PPKS.

The fights are good. Installation is a bit of a bummer

Excellent fight scenes, brutal and dynamic.
