New trailer for the action movie Die Fighting (aka The Price of Success)

A group of actors trained in Shaolin kung fu are about to break into Hollywood, but in Los Angeles, a mysterious "Director" with sadistic tendencies forces them through a series of different fights. The director films their every move, setting bandits and fighters against them as they prove their skills.

The film stars members of a French stunt team "Z Team" Fabien Garcia (Fabien Garcia) Laurent Buson (Laurent Buson) Yannick Van Dam (Yannick Van Dam) and Didier Buson (Didier Buson) and also Xin Sarith Vuku. Action movie premiere "Die Fighting" will take place tonight at the tenth international film festival "Action On Film".

Ravenside, out of curiosity, how do you rate “Bangkok Knockout”?

I dug into the news archive here and here’s a quote:

The film left a strange impression of a compilation of rough fights with completely arbitrary editing. And the sense of taste and style is absolutely violated (although maybe, of course, this whole disco was intended). Plus all these tightrope walkers with tight pants with bulging knee pads. I won’t talk about the plot; it eludes common sense. I’m unlikely to re-watch the fights, because there’s nothing solid, there’s some interesting short-term dynamics or a separate creative trick. Blurred, frivolous video. Or showreel. IMHO.

In general, showing off and showing off are different. Jackie was showing off. Dacascos showed off in Drive. You need to know how not to overdo it and do it appropriately.

Ravenside, out of curiosity, how do you rate “Bangkok Knockout”? There, too, everyone fights in the “just to show off” style. True, it is, of course, more extreme there.

Volochkova set up these “combat guns”, apparently. No, as a style and concept it deserves attention and respect, but they just... they don’t know how to apply this concept and how to work with it, for now. If only one character, for example, the main hero, fought in this style... In short, everything is in the wrong place and too much, they have no sense of proportion. Too concentrated and no drama, they act poorly, the opponents are like a conveyor belt... oh well. I'm disappointed. Just like that. Well, the ending is expected))

As always, the trailer was better than the film itself. But in general, very good combat, not a shaky camera and some kind of story. As always, they couldn’t properly stage a fight of one against many, and they screwed up some other little things here and there. The plot, although normal for such a film, is secondary.

    Mark Dacascos recommends this film

But to be honest, I don’t. Although, who am I and who is Dacascos)
But the film, despite some spectacular leg-swinging from Garcia and co, is mostly just terrible. Picture only - ok. As for the rest, there is a huge amount of props, crap acting, ridiculous and delusional assumptions, illogicalities, amateurishness... the heroes destroy the police special forces like children, bandits, karatekas, without batting an eyelid at each other... and finally it’s just trash. Garcia and Buson have exposed themselves for a big movie - that's good, good luck to them. But the film cannot be considered as a separate work. Well, the choreography... was tired. I won’t reveal all the standard errors.

den50393, where is the quote from then?

The film is already online. There is already a review on kung fu cinema. I think it would be worthy of separate news).

The film is praised. The words about the ending intrigued me.

The fight scenes are without a doubt some of the best seen in independent action films these days, thanks to the combination of fight choreography, editing, and Tarina Reed's cinematography.

DIE FIGHTING is definitely a winner for all fans of not only martial arts films, but action films as a whole. The story is done really well with the performances from the actors done excitedly well and the action scenes are truly top-notch and it must be noted the finale of this film will literally make your mouth drop.

The film will be available to watch on VOD on November 4th.

The plot of the trailer is predictable, but the choreography is very interesting!!! The color correction is absolutely CHIC!!!
In any case, it will be very interesting to watch this movie!

Judging by the trailer, this is something comparable to Bangkok Knockout. Yes, definitely watch it!

Cool trailer! Well done boys! They are trying, the performance is at a good level! But as Ravenside noted, there is a “ballet quality”, I would say so. And a certain “theatricality” - these “cunning” and ineffective kicks, circles on the floor on the knees and foot “spinners”. :) But I will definitely watch this film, such films are also needed. ;)

I’m waiting, but my intuition tells me that the creators of the sense of proportion do not know the “ballet”. This is probably their thing. And ok, ok. But I was already somewhat tired of these endless Batman tandu after the trailer.

The trailer is simply superb, a must watch.

    Definitely watch!!!)
    Is the release unknown?

      Author's gravatar

Do not know. Most likely after the festivals.

    They waited a long time...
