"The Crow" remake, Streets of Rage adaptation, hand-to-hand action thriller from Netflix

The cult mystical thriller "The Raven" (1994) a very difficult fate. Surely you are aware, but it was on the set of this film that an accident occurred that cost the leading actor Brandon Lee life. He “finished the game” for the deceased actor Chad Stahelski, and the film itself was quite successful at the box office, which spawned several sequels (1996, 1999, 2005). However, none of the sequels came close to matching the original film. Only Canadian series "The Raven" (1998) with Mark Dacascos in the leading role could lay claim to some significant results.

All these years, Hollywood producers have been haunted by the thought of restarting the series. A few years ago the project even got off the ground and the director Roots Hardy began preparations for filming. Then the main star of the film was supposed to be Hollywood's favorite Jason Mamoa, but both left the project after behind-the-scenes drama that led to financial clashes between the producers and distributor. Before Mamoa, the following actors were considered for the main role: Bradley Cooper, Mark Wahlberg и James McAvoy.

For some time the project died down again, but only recently about a remake "Crow" they started talking again. It became known that a team has been recruited again to work on the film, and filming will supposedly start this June.

A British director is at the director's helm Rupert Sanders (“Snow White and the Hungtsman”, “Ghost in the Shell”, TV series “Foundation”), script by Zach Baylin, which won an Academy Award for Drama "King Richard" starring Will Smith.

The central image of the musician Eric Draven, resurrected by the Raven and avenging the murder of himself and his bride, went to the actor Bill Skarsgard (duology “It”, “Eternals”, “John Wick 4”). It is also known that the British singer is in the cast Fka Twigs, playing the role of Eric's fiancée. By the way, its role will be significantly expanded compared to the original.

Let us remind you that the series of games is about three former police officers: black boxer Adam Hungter, martial arts master Axel Stone and judoka girl Blaze Fielding. Realizing that the law has no power over the sinister Syndicate, he and his friends take to the streets to restore order in the city once and for all.
