On the question of “loaves”, when are “Precipitation” and “Stranger” expected?

      Wave,

Only God knows, to be honest. Currently I am working on a film production project called LOVE BY REFERENCE. At the stage of completion. 90% of 100 are ready. Moreover, mounted on the finishing material. Today we fell asleep with filming fights due to the weather.

        Ravenside,

That's for sure! We make films like real artists. We started 10 years ago... we got drunk... we continued... we threw it in the trash... we sobered up... we got it... we drank some more... we did the finishing touches and... we launched. Oh how!

    Ravenside:
“The only thing is that there is a moment of satiety and boredom for the viewer. You can no longer surprise the viewer with tricks and fights. You need to interest them in something else.”

    - Right to the point!!! Everything is evolving, but I still often see weak dramatic fights and a terrible picture (this is subject to technical capabilities)!!! Of course, the plot of a film about a tough special forces soldier won’t “get in” as much as it did before. You definitely need to get down to the “loaves” (those who remember know what I mean). + choreograph fight scenes and stunts in an interesting way. For example, eliminate those shortcomings that already exist: - waiting for a blow in fights, attacking in turns. What's stopping you? Watching another demo of young fighters, I ask myself: Did they even watch the movie? Anything with a fighting game?
BUT...again, I agree with the above. Everything has its time!

I think everything has its time. Now everything and everywhere has become much faster and technically simpler. Anyone with a phone or a camera can shoot a short film, or even a full-length film, and edit it at home. This, on the one hand, played a cruel joke regarding the quality of the material and the appearance of crowds of home-grown actors/directors, and on the other hand, any talented person, at least in some form, can show his talent much more easily than it was, say, in 80 -90s and even in the early 2000s (unless he is a complete asshole). So, I think it's a matter of time before new colorful characters appear in films. And in combat, in particular.
The only thing is that there is a moment of satiety and satiety of the viewer. You can no longer surprise the viewer with tricks and fights. You need to be interested in something else.

her guys...it’s unlikely that anything good will come out with the fights in the near future. Why? Because the old creators and fighters have already been baked together, and the new ones have not yet been launched into the pond of martial arts. We are waiting for a miracle, but where will it come from? We need a fresh film perspective and opportunities. Almost 15 years have passed since ONG BAK. Tony is exhausted. RAID was trying to do something. But still broke. Florentine keeps forging the same thing that was also in SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT, REBEL and UNDISPUTEABLE 2. Sammo, Corey Yuen, Yen Woo Ping, Jecht Lee are essentially merged. Donnie tries to flounder somehow, but he too runs out of steam. I’m generally silent about Jackie.
Recently I was blown away by what I said while filming ARMOR OF GOD: “If we were filming this today, I would replace the live leopard with a man dressed in a blue suit, so that I could then use computer graphics to draw what was needed, now this is all very easy to do. However, At that time we did not have such technologies, and everything was done in primitive ways."
So what is this?!!! We loved old Jackie precisely because of the authenticity of what was happening! The dude has gone crazy! + It completely discourages young people who don’t want to train for films. Why, when there is a cable. And naturally, all emotions and experiences with imitation are simply flushed down the toilet! I recently watched FAST AND THE FURIOUS 7 and was in awe of the fight with fat women against Michelle Rodriguez. So what is this? Not only that, they are all unhung-over bears, but the whole thing is damn well filmed and cut up! Horrible! And the local people said to me: “You don’t understand! They sold a car there for a few bucks in lemons!” Well, yes. Perhaps I really don’t understand something in this life, but I know for sure that now there is a cardboard replacement of real values. But we're still hoping for an interesting fighting game. Well... we all need to be commended for our patience. Perhaps one day a miracle will really happen!

Offtopic: according to rumors, Donnie will star in the 8th part of Star Wars! The source says it's not entirely trustworthy, but damn, it would be extremely interesting to see Donnie fighting with lightsabers! Moreover, he would definitely bring a new level of quality to fight execution.

PS I read it on Kinopoisk. :)

JVR™, well, he was in the second Blade. Not to say that the film benefited radically from this. Just like the seventh Fast and the Furious from Jha.

        Wave,

Well, he did his part, when you remember the fights in Blade, Donnie comes to mind. :)

        Wave,

By the way, the second Blade has good action scenes, although a little time was allowed for this part of the film.

Lindolion, yes I remember. But if you compare it with “Flash Point” or “SPL”...

    Author's gravatar

Was Sammo in the second part?

      Author's gravatar

      DoDFavorit,
The phrase is constructed as follows: “The first two films starred actors and martial artists of the highest class.” :) That's why Sammo is on the list. )

I haven't watched the second part yet, but I'm already looking forward to the third. In the field of martial arts films, practically nothing is growing now...

Of course Donnie and Tony, as well as Adkins. (I’m taking into account today’s popular, not forgotten actors)
