New projects by Vincent Zhao, Max Zhang, Tony Jai and Michael Jai White

Two stars of the Chinese hand-to-hand action movie Vincent Zhao ("Blade", "Udan", "Unity of Heroes") and Max Zhang (“Ip Man 3D”, “Master Z: The Legacy of Ip Man”, “The Edge”) signed up for a joint yet untitled project.

It is known that two filmmakers are responsible for the script and direction: debutant Zhong Xiong Ma and independent film director Xiu Ji ("Reasons to Die", "Puppet").

According to the portal AFS, the creators describe the future film as a military thriller. Of course, a movie wouldn’t be complete without hand-to-hand combat, since the leading roles are played by stars of the genre. By the way, several more caste names are known: beauty And Juan ("Ip Man: Birth of a Legend") and Yu Rongguang, who fans of action films might remember for his role as the evil sensei from the remake "The Karate Kid" starring Jackie Chan.

Today, fans of creativity Vincent Zhao waiting for the long-announced crime thriller "Invisible Tattoo" with David Bell in one of the roles, as well as sequel his successful independent film "Unity of Heroes".

According Max Zhang only the expected long-term construction is fixed "Murderers and the Missing Gold" (former "Ten Ton Killer"), where Zhang must face off against another hand-to-hand action star - Andy Onom. The release year has changed again: the action film is now scheduled to arrive in 2020.

Thai action movie star Tony JAA seriously overgrown with projects. Beyond the Hollywood blockbuster "Monster Hungter", and films of a lower class "Jiu Jitsu" и "Silence", Jha was included in the sequel to the successful Chinese franchise "Chinatown Detective".

Tony will appear in the third part of the series, which again, like the previous two films in 2015 and 2018, he directs Chen Sicheng ("Beijing Love Story").

"Chinatown Detective 3" - this is a continuation of the story about a half-educated detective who, time after time, gets involved in the most ridiculous and mysterious situations, funny and adventurous in understanding the next intricate case.

The actors will return to their roles Wang Baoqiang ("In the name of honor"), Liu Haoran ("The Legend of the Demon Cat") and Satoshi Tsumabuki ("Tokyo Drift"). Besides Tony JAA (Ong Bak franchise), who is set to play the main villain, stars in the upcoming comedy Zhang Zifeng ("Earthquake").

The film doesn't have a poster or trailer yet, but it already has a release date - January 25 2020 years.

Another star of the hand-to-hand genre, but this time from the USA, will take part in the remake of the famous 1995 action film "Sudden death" (Sudden Death), where he played a leading role Jean-Claude Van Damme.

In the new film called "Welcome to Sudden Death" (Welcome to Sudden Death) and a similar plot will play the main role Michael Jai White ("Blood and Bone", "Tyson"). Appointed director of the remake Dallas Jackson, previously noted only as a teen horror film "Thriller" (2018)

Since it is known that the film has been filming since August at the largest sports arena in Winnipeg (Canada), we can conclude that, like in the original film, the events will unfold during some kind of sports game. It is then that a group of terrorists will capture the entire territory of the arena, and a lone hero will try to neutralize the villains.

In addition to White, the action film's ensemble cast includes: Michael's wife - Gillian White ("Never Give Up 3"), Kristen Harris ("Breakthrough"), Gary Owen ("Dad on Duty"), Anthony Grant ("Polar"), famous stuntman and martial artist Marrese Crump (“Honor of the Dragon 2”, “Sultan”) and others.

The film will be released direct-to-video sometime in mid-2020. We'll keep our fingers crossed and wait for the trailer.

Recall that the comedy western by Jay White "Johnny Black Outlaw" never saw the light of day this year. In addition, Mike's fans can expect a sports drama "Cage Fighter", where White has a supporting role.

    It would seem that the remake of Sudden Death was already released last year with Dave Bautista in the title role. It's called the "final score". Another similar movie. Is it needed now?
