New projects by Jackie Chan, Tiger Shroff and Tony Jaa

Our resilient master of hand-to-hand comedy Jackie Chan, it seems, is preparing his next directorial project. The last film where Jackie's grandfather sat in the director's chair was "Chinese Zodiac" (2012)

But fans of Chan's spirited action films, for which he is so famous, may pass by. The action star's new project is an English-language drama, however, filmed with Chinese money. We're talking about a movie called "Diary" (The Diary), for which he also wrote Jackie Chan.

The film tells the story of a young guy who, in the early 30s of the last century, leaves Shanghai and goes to Europe, where he must find his lost love and reunite with her.

Chan himself will not appear in the film, and the ensemble cast consists of the following names: Noah Centineo (TV series "The Marked"), Kevin Klein ("French Kiss"), Martina Stossel ("Violetta"), as well as a Chinese film star Andy Lau ("House of Flying Daggers") and Jackie's son - Jaycee Chan ("Railroad Tigers").

Let us remind you that it is too early to write off 64-year-old old Chan: next year three films with his participation should be released at once: fantasy films "The Mystery of the Dragon Seal" и "Knight of Shadows: Journey Between Worlds", as well as an American action film "Project X", where Jackie Chan shares screen time with the WWE star and actor John Cena.

Out of nowhere, came the news that a multi-faceted talent from Bollywood named Tiger Shroff, known to us for several decent hand-to-hand action films, has finally been noticed in Hollywood.

Well...or not Hollywood. In general, the news says that the famous American producer Lawrence Kasanoff (True Lies, Mortal Kombat) admired Shroff's work in his films and came to Mumbai to make final discussions with the rising star of Indian cinema to act in American cinema.

It is unknown what specific project Shroff and Kasanoff were talking about. However, the producer mentioned the possibility of the participation of such stars of combat films of the past as Jackie Chan, Chuck Norris и Shannon Lee.

It is highly doubtful that Norris and Lee will be involved in the project. Chuck Norris currently 78 years old, his last appearance on screen took place in 2012 in the action film "The Expendables 2", and the project by Isaac Florentine "Blood Brothers" with Chuck in one of the roles never took place.

Daughter of the legendary Bruce Lee - Shannon Lee Today she is focused on producing and hosting Bruce Lee Enterprise, since the cable channel Cinemax will release the series next year "Warrior", which we are talking about wrote a lot.

But participation Jackie Chan in a future American film Tiger Shroff quite possibly. Chan spoke extremely flatteringly about the young talent from India, and Tiger, in turn, considers Jackie his idol. In addition, Jackie has already worked with Indian actors, including in the film "Armor of God: In Search of Treasure" (2017)

Well, let's keep our finger on the pulse. Although personally we are waiting for a Bollywood remake from Tiger "Rambo", which should begin filming before the end of this year and be released next year.

Thai movie fighter Tony JAA involved in the film adaptation of a computer game Monster Hungter, which has been in development for quite some time by a famous Hollywood director and producer Paul Anderson (Resident Evil franchise) and his colleague Jeremy Bolt.

The upcoming film will be about an ordinary person who discovers hidden powers within himself. It turns out that he is a descendant of an ancient Hero who fought monsters. Now the newly-made hero has to go to a mystical world, where he must go through a difficult path of learning in order to save our world from the invasion of ancient evil.

At the director's helm will be Paul U. S. Anderson himself, he also owns the script. And in the acting ensemble, in addition to Tony JAA (the “Ong Bak” trilogy), which, apparently, is assigned one of the main roles, includes the following actors: Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil franchise), Ron Perlman (Hellboy duology), Diego Boneta (“Pelé: Birth of a Legend”) and rapper Ti Ai ("The House of Lies").

The film is already in the active shooting stage. To do this, Tony Jha came to South Africa.

And we are waiting for a hand-to-hand action movie lost in time and space "Triple Threat" and the upcoming Chinese biopic "Master Z: Ip Man's Legacy".
