Because I want to bring to your attention a couple of clips from the group Slayer, veteran berserkers in heavy metal style. And this is not the usual video of a hard rock band, in which stern-looking men frantically break the strings of guitars and scream in inhuman voices. Well, that is, such footage is also present here. But, in addition to the standard set of familiar clichés, these clips also contain a plot and a cinematic shooting style. There is a silent main character who looks like Christian Bale, who looks like Kurt Russell, who plays the role of Plissken the Serpent. And most importantly, there is action. Quite brutal action, I must say. Bloody and merciless.
So, You Against You, which appeared quite recently. However, since the plot of this video precedes the earlier hit, I suggest starting with it.
Another clip Repentless, debuted last fall and has since become a hit on YouTube, racking up more than seven million views. The story of the ruthless one-eyed avenger continues with a bloody prison riot. Not without the appearance Danny Trejo, who is clearly in his element.
The dynamism and cheerful manner of filming these videos is quite understandable. Directed by an experienced filmmaker BJ McDonnell, who worked in the camera crew of famous blockbusters "Star Trek: Into Darkness", "Avengers: Age of Ultron", "Tomorrowland" and many others. In addition, it is worth mentioning that he participated in the filming of the web series "Mortal Kombat: Legacy".
In general, even if you don’t consider yourself a fan of thrash metal (like myself, actually), but appreciate uncompromising action, it’s worth a look.
