According to creative director Yang Weiping, the kung fu movie star will give his students lessons in the form of lectures, provide internships and even help with job placement. Also, Weiping added:
We appreciate Jackie Chan's fame and experience. He has been in the film industry for more than 40 years, and his films have earned more than 20 billion yuan ($3,2 billion) in total gross. No other Chinese actor can compare to him.
I will faithfully perform my duty as dean. I will not harm students.
- said Jackie Chan.
According to the actor, the opening of this school was “the dream of his whole life.” And it's good that the 61-year-old actor, who made a huge contribution to the development of kung fu films, will be able to pass on some of his experience to the next generation.
The school was opened in the city of Wuhan (Hubei Province, central China) and was named "Jackie Chan Film and Television Academy".
It’s impossible not to love Jackie Chan, he’s already a legend.
