I still have enough fire left in me to create modern action films. They will be different from kung fu films because the fights in them are easier and faster to film. But still, all this is still a form of expression of martial art. I really want to continue working in this direction and I still have a lot of creative ideas.

The actor also made statements in which he made it clear that he plans to act in foreign films as much as possible:

I will focus as much as possible on working in foreign films in the future.

The same thing happened with Ian, who, answering questions in an interview with one of the newspapers, said:

This is definitely my last job, but you know... We can't look into the future, right?

and later added:

I seriously think that this film is the last work in the hand-to-hand action genre. It's really hard. As an actor by profession, I want to move on, so I don't say never, but I confirm that this work is the last in the heroic kung fu movie.

Ian's star lit up in the 80s in the film Yuen Woo-Ping "Drunk Tai Chi"And since then, Donny has been working to this day, appearing in Hollywood (Highlander: Endgame, Blade 2), and also working as a director and fight choreographer (German TV series "Puma", Thunderbolt, Princess Sword), having saved up for everything this time there are a large number of fans.

Currently, the actor mainly works in Hong Kong, starring in the crime action film "SPL"y Wilson Yip, simultaneously playing roles in other genres. At the same time, Yen decided to stick with his main genre, a film about the life and adventures of the famous Chinese Grandmaster of martial arts. However, he said:

Will there be another Ip Man movie? Maybe. I'll take back what I said about retirement if I can do it in English.

Fuck it, you can forgive him - in my opinion, he is the only remaining “fighting” actor who can still show an excellent level of fighting! Donny - credit to you!

They pulled me up. I’m not leaving. Like Kobzon and Pugacheva. They leave every year.
