Dolph Lundgren may star in action movie with Tony Jaa

In his recent interview with the resource Examiner when asked about future projects Dolph Lundgren replied that he had plans after filming the film "Blood of Redemption":

Dolph Lundgren:

“...then I go to Thailand to play one of the roles in a Thai action comedy with Tony Jaa. He seems to be a very talented guy, and we agreed that if I took at least some part in the filming of one of his films, he would star in one of mine. In my opinion, as an action hero and a great movie fighter, he is undoubtedly the key to the commercial success of the film, but before this he had not had to act in film here [abroad]. This could turn out to be something very cool..."

That's right! Cynthia's Hong Kong works are very emotional and interesting, not counting the stunt doubles in her films. In America it is generally impossible to watch her fights in films. Horror!
Eh...what can I say. This has been said a thousand times already.

I just rewatched The Tournament. She didn't fuck Adkins up. There really was a feeling that a brat had gone up against a powerful man. Only in the end it was possible to grab it and then take it for a throw, and during the throw, break the pin from the grenade. The director/director/screenwriter (who is responsible for the scene) understood that she had no luck in hand-to-hand combat.

Ps Don’t take “brat” for neglect. She would most likely kill me in hand-to-hand combat.

Why not? It seems to me that it will be very, very interesting, another question is that Lundgren is very clumsy. :)

If Corey Yuen couldn't put something sensible into THE EXPENDABLES

Well, actually, Corey Yuen wasn’t really allowed to do anything there, except as far as I remember, he choreographed fights only for Jet Li.

Rothrock is a VERY bad example. I watched the Dragon Lady... there ALL her opponents felt sorry for Cynthia and it’s clear, and the fight with Norton... it’s generally a laugh (it’s clear that Richard doesn’t care about all her blows, but he’s holding back very much). For example: Kelly Hu fucked Adkins in the Tournament much more realistically

I think Jaidev meant Cynthia in Hong Kong films - this is a very good example! As for the American ones, yes, I agree - but this once again shows the importance of the fight director. :) I'll watch the fight between Kelly Hu and Adkins. :)

But I don’t really understand where the strong emotional struggles of the 80s and early 90s disappeared from the movies. It seems that there are more opportunities, but everything somehow leaves much to be desired.
The other day I was rewatching CHOCOLATE with Janine. Well, I don’t trust her to hit her! I do not believe! You don't fall from blows like hers.
Another thing is Yukari Oshima, or at least Cynthia Rothrock.

Well, no need to exaggerate. Emotionality was and remains the same (in the Golden Years of fighting games, this was also not always possible and not everyone succeeded). The same Ip Man...I don’t take the final battle (the opponent spoiled it), the emotionality of each fight was simply at its best and, unlike the situation (it was a friendly sparring or a fight to the death), Donny changed radically in his movements, in the emotions on his face.

If it's limited to interesting cameos, then it's not such a tragedy. It's better than flying on wires from Corey Yuen, for example.

    - I agree completely.

Getting Tony Jaa into your filming is a utopia!
Tony wanted to go to Hong Kong, but they didn’t let him in. But the contract was almost almost in hand with Donny and Sammo.
It's unlikely that anything interesting could happen with Dolph. If Corey Yuen couldn’t put something sensible into THE EXPENDABLES, let alone anything else.
BUT I am always FOR good projects. May be...

It would be better if Lundgren fought with Seagal - Godzilla vs. King Kong! Or again with Matthias Hughes! And let Tony fight Adkins, Saror or the French trickers! Although, I fully support their joint project!

Great news. On Dolph's official website, he says that in two weeks he will be leaving for Thailand to film. The main thing is that Dolph has the role of a villain, he is not replaceable there. Some might think that it's hard to make an interesting fight scene between Tony and Dolph, but Tony is used to fighting giants, and Dolph is the most famous/cool of them all. It should turn out something interesting.

Hurry up! For some reason it seems to me that there will be an action movie with elements of comedy))) The main thing is that Dolph remains in his calm repertoire)
I’m also looking forward to cool mochilovo!)
    Go for it guys!)
