40 days since Alexander EvilDollaR Zelinsky passed away

According to Orthodox traditions, the 40th day after death is the milestone that finally separates a person’s earthly life from eternal life. On this day, all loved ones say goodbye for the last time to Alexander Nikolaevich Zelinsky, known to visitors of this site as EvilDollaR.

To my great regret, at the moment there is no opportunity to visit Sasha, but I will definitely do it as soon as the opportunity arises. For now all I can do is to remind readers about this good-natured, positive and bright person.

Sanya, we say goodbye to you, but your memory will forever remain with us! Thank you for everything you have done for us! Your business will live and develop, I promise.

EvilDollaR's loved ones would like him to be remembered as in this photo. Even if you haven’t seen Sasha in real life, know that he was exactly like that, and let it be etched in your memory forever.

I want to once again express my gratitude to the guys ( Ravenside , CelpasoDoDFavorit и electricity ), who undertook to support the project. You showed that Sasha and his brainchild really mean something to you. Thanks for everything you do.

Also, I’ll add that during this period of time a lot from the planned  was reached. At the moment, the speed of the site has been improved by at least 4 times, thanks to optimization and transfer to a new server. Now the site has a new design, it is quite “light” and, most importantly, adaptive (i.e., adapts to any device), also, advertising on it is not so intrusive. Some functionality had to be abandoned, but much was replaced with equivalents. However, I am ready to add any functionality you want, if it is appropriate.

Soon the new domain will “glue” with the old one and I will make efforts to increase site traffic. I think we can safely count on the fact that in a month there will be 25-35% more of us. And then there will be more, but time and some funds are needed. Be patient.

I actually missed it due to work. I have no words. He was such a cool guy, how much work he did, what kind defusing comments he left in other skirmishes. Bright memory.

I am not one of those visitors who frequent this site, although I am a big fan of BI films. )
When I first discovered this resource, I was extremely happy that there was a person who devoted his time to such an interesting topic! At one time, I myself had thoughts of creating a similar resource, but they remained in my head, unlike Alexander, who put his thoughts into action...

Recently, I haven’t had the opportunity to visit this resource... And so, having recently visited the site and seeing several comments that EvilDollaR has not published news for a long time, I, like some others, became a little worried... Yes, yes, exactly so - although I didn’t know Alexander (I corresponded by mail a couple of times), but his hard work in this direction and the even “handwriting” of comments and answers revealed him as a good, kind, moral and purposeful person whom you begin to respect distance!
After some time I saw that same “post”...

It just so happened that I was not able to express my gratitude (unfortunately, posthumously) to Alexander in that thread, so I will do it here!
Much has been said, but I will still add what may have already been said: thank you Alexander for your work, for your wonderful initiative, which united many people. That place that has become a point of discussion and debate, attacks and praise, but most importantly, it has become a gathering place for people with common interests! I think it's worth a lot!
You have done a lot, your memory will remain with the people you united!
Let your new refuge be a place of peace and tranquility for you!

      I can't help but write...

It so happened that Alexander is already the second person in my memory who left his mark in the niche, so to speak, of “reviews and discussions of films about martial arts” that suddenly left our world... Nick (I can’t remember his name :( ) another good person - "gigon", he specialized in finding extremely rare martial arts films on the Russian part of the Internet...
It is very, very unfortunate that people who help, unite and make a significant contribution to any cause leave so early...

        JVR™,

I also remembered Gigon. I uploaded films on the root tracker, went on vacation and that’s it.
Although I didn’t know anyone personally, I express my condolences. It's a shame that good people leave.

I will quote Kipling, in English (unfortunately, I don’t know a good Russian translation of this poem):

    So Time that is o'er-kind
    To all that be,
    Ordains us e'en as blind,
    As bold as she:
    That in our very death,
    And burial sure,
Shadow to shadow, well convinced, saith,
    "See how our works endure!"

We will all remember Alexander Nikolaevich as a wonderful, bright, kind and interesting person. I am grateful to him for creating this site and uniting us all.

Barsug, thank you for this memory post and for your kind words.

Alexandra will always be an example of dedication, dedication and kindness to me. I'm glad I knew him. Even if not personally, she still knew.

Let the site live and prosper in memory of its creator and in the name of the wonderful world of combat cinema. Alexander would be glad to know that we are continuing his work.
