Unlucky Stars from LBP Stunts: a tribute to “old school” action films

Most regular readers know that many promising independent projects never came into being due to lack of finance. This time the team needs help "LBP Stunts", filming a new feature-length action movie called “Unlucky Stars” (Unlucky stars / Unlucky stars). Dennis Ruel (Dennis Ruel), who wrote and directed, is producing the film with by Ken Quitugua (Ken Quitugua) and choreographer Vlad Rimburg (Vlad Rimburg). According to the creators, this will not be just an ordinary martial arts film, but a comedy action film, with a high-quality plot, well-thought-out characters and excellent fights in the style of Hong Kong action films of the 80s, which will appeal to everyone without exception.

Unlucky Stars from LBP Stunts: a tribute to “old school” action films 2

80% of the film “Unlucky Stars” has already been filmed, but to complete production and post-production it is necessary for the remaining 47 days assemble $35,000, therefore on the site INDIEGOGO Dennis Ruel A campaign to collect voluntary donations was launched. This money will be used to hire an actor with a “big” name, and this will not only add originality to the project, but will also increase the chances of successful distribution. A 4-day shoot is also planned in a mansion, the rental of which is necessary to create one of the scenes. Part of the funding will be spent on travel expenses for many talented actors living in other cities, which will help significantly speed up production, as well as on post-production (soundtrack, sound mixing, color correction, festival expenses and DVD/Blu-ray disc release).

As in the case of Kickstarter, those who donate money will receive interesting bonuses, starting with a mention in the credits, a poster, a special edition DVD, and uploading their own fight scene(!).

What have you heard about this project? Did Dan and the rest of the team raise the money?

The “LBP Stunts” team has only 16 hours left to raise the required amount for the “Unlucky Stars” project. May the rich sponsor be with them!

PS IMO the teaser was a bit short + not much fighting and a lot of talking. As a result, only 5th of the required money was collected.

He is the same, only Sam did not duplicate Jackman, but Schreiber.

oh yes, exactly! I remembered that he said that initially he had to duplicate Huyu’s tricks, but in the process he did tricks for Liev Schreiber, there was something connected with the manner of fighting...

Isn't Sam Hargrave the guy who was Hugh Jackman's stunt double in X-Men 4?
