Legendary Sammo Hung, who made his name with action comedies, returns to his favorite genre in a new film called "Treasure of a Lifetime" (A Lifetime Treasure).
The film was directed by the actor Andrew Lam (“Miracles”, “Hero in Tights”, “I Love Hong Kong 2013”), for which "Treasure" became her debut work as a director.
The film tells the story of two unlucky kidnappers who kidnap five old people for ransom.
The film is notable for its ensemble cast, in which, in addition to Sammo Hunga (“God of War”), famous veterans of Chinese cinema are involved: Richard Ng (Unlucky Stars franchise), Bruce Leung ("Kung Fu Showdown"), Teddy Robin ("Dragon Twins") and himself Andrew Lam. Among the young actors are Louis Chun ("Storm L") and Ivana Wong ("Golden Chick 3").
The comedy, in which, as often happens in Hong's films, there was a place for hand-to-hand combat, went into Chinese distribution 5 February 2019 year.

In the director's chair is Daniel Chan, which has already been noted for its criminal action films "The Sixth Commandment" (2011) "Triad" (2012) "Young and Dangerous: Reboot" (2013) and a comedy-mystical action film "Teacher vs Vampire" with Philip Ng, Jiang Luxia and Yuen Biao.
The story will unfold around two brothers, the eldest of whom is a successful mixed martial arts fighter, who, in his pride, gets involved with a criminal element. The younger one wants to do everything in order to regain his former brother. In this fight, all means are good, even if you have to enter the ring and fight against your own brother.
The main roles were played by Edward Ma ("Call of Heroes") and Lam Yu-Sin (“Keyboard Wars”).
The film will be released 21 March 2019 year.
The trailer for the upcoming spy thriller from China has appeared online "Newbies" (The Rookies) director and screenwriter Alan Yuen, which may be known to fans of Chinese cinema as melodrama "Princess" (2002) and action movie "Firestorm" (2013) starring Andy Lau.
Yuen's new film is notable for the fact that the director got a Hollywood star in his cast Milla Jovovich (the “Resident Evil” franchise), although, it seems, for a small role.
Synopsis: a funny guy and a lover of extreme sports, Zhao Feng, one day accidentally encounters a powerful criminal group, and now a tough Interpol agent takes the guy into her arms and takes him to Budapest. There they assemble a team of newcomers who will have to confront an international terrorist organization.
In addition to Jovovich, who played the head of the newly minted team of spies, the film starred: Darren Wang ("Railroad Tigers"), Sandrine Pinna ("The Legend of the Demon Cat"), Xu Weizhou (“On the Other Side of the Ocean”) and other actors. A good movie fighter played a small role in the film Danny Chan ("Ip Man 3-4")
