We try to introduce you to the world of combat cinema in the most widespread sense of the concept, but sometimes we want to pay attention to just good, strong and high-quality films that in one way or another touch on hand-to-hand themes or star people known more for action roles. Today's selection is probably just that.
I would like to start with a Hollywood project called "Hotel Artemis" (Hotel Artemis), which in genre is an explosive cross between fantasy, crime thriller, action and situational comedy. The film was directed by Drew Pierce, known primarily for his scripts for blockbusters such as Iron Man 3 (2013) and "Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation" (2015). Artemis marks Pearce's feature-length directorial debut.
The synopsis is intriguing and somewhat reminiscent of the atmosphere "John Wick": In near-future Los Angeles, every self-respecting criminal goes for medical help from the stern Nurse who runs the Artemis Hotel. Here members of a special club can receive treatment and relax. But a couple of new clients accidentally bring along a local crime boss who wants to get a treasured item stolen in a robbery. Hotel guests will have to work hard, because any weapons are strictly prohibited inside.
A wonderful actress played the main role in the film. Jodie Foster (“Silence of the Lambs”, “Anna and the King”), and an ensemble consisting entirely of famous names plays along with her: Sofia Boutella ("Atomic Blonde") Dave Batista ("Kickboxer") Sterling K. Brown ("Black Panther"), Jeff Goldblum ("Thor 3: Ragnarok"), Jenny Slate (“Gifted”), Charlie Day ("Pacific Rim 1-2"), Zachary Quinto (“Risk limit”) and others.

The next Hollywood film in the “pensioners are back in business” genre, the trailer of which we would like to present, is a continuation of the action film "The Great Equalizer" (2014), where he played the main role Denzel Washington (“Training day”).

The second film of The Equalizer will continue the story of former CIA agent Robert McCall, who independently administers justice. But after Robert's old girlfriend is killed, McCall is on the trail of a serious spy organization.
Besides Denzel Washington, took part in the film: Bill Pullman ("Independence Day"), Pedro Pascal ("Great Wall"), Melissa Leo (“Fighter”) and others.
The action movie will be released worldwide July 20, but in Russia the premiere starts with 6 September 2018 years.

We finish today's selection of trailers with Sylvester Stallone's project "Escape Plan 2" (Escape Plan 2: Hades) - a sequel to the successful 2013 prison action film, where Stallone shared the leading role with another action icon Arnold Schwarzenegger.
This time, Arnie was not included in the cast, but the acting ensemble reinforced with familiar names and even with an eye on the Chinese market, to which Sly, as you know, does not breathe smoothly. But first things first. The film was directed by Stephen S. Miller, which may be familiar to you from action movies "Raiders" (2016) and "First Murder" (2017) with Bruce Willis and Arsenal (2017) starring Nicolas Cage.
The new “Escape Plan” is again about the most modern prison, into which Stallone’s hero goes in order to get his man out of there. But this time he is ready and a whole team is working with him.
But Sylvester Stallone, the following actors starred in the action film: Dave Batista ("Riddick") Fifty Cent ("Right to Kill") Jamie King (“Bulletproof”), as well as a Chinese film star Huang Xiaomin ("Ip Man 2"), Wes Chatham (TV series "Space") and other actors.
The world premiere of the film is scheduled for 29 June 2018 year. Well, we are watching the trailer, and, perhaps, we are waiting for the film.

The escape looks pretty good. But there’s some kind of problem with the Hotel, I couldn’t find it anywhere even in the screens. Apparently he didn't come out on the eighth.

After Heist, I changed my mind about Dave Bautista. He, of course, is not De Niro yet, but, as it turns out, he is capable of quite full-fledged roles. Although personally, for some reason, he reminds me a lot of Igor Zhizhikin. I will be glad if his career takes off. Huang Xiaomi is predictably moving into Hollywood, which I’m glad about, because, in my opinion, he is the Andy Lau of the 2000s, although it’s too early to write off Andy himself. Hollywood is now actively working on the Chinese market, and today it has no competitors at least on the Mainland, if not in all of China
OU! Sofia Boutella is going straight from dance star to action star! Nice girl! :) I'm looking forward to all three films, especially, of course, Sly and Vin. :)
