Trailer for the crazy Yakuza Apocalypse

Takashi Miike known to many for his “crazy” works, some fans even call him the “Japanese Tarantino”, however, not in vain. They are great friends.

It seems that "Yakuza Apocalypse" (Yakuza Apocalypse\ Gokudou daisensou) does not change the style Miike  will continue the tradition of releasing crazy films. However, it’s unlikely that many of us fall within the film’s target audience. But there is something about the film that may interest fans of cinematic martial arts...

The fact is that an Indonesian actor took part in the filming, Yayan Ruhian (Yayan Ruhian) . If his name is not familiar to anyone, you might have seen this movie fighter in the films “Merantau”, “Raid” and “Raid 2”. If you watched these pictures, then you understand who we are talking about. It is not yet known for certain what role Rukhyan will play "Yakuza Apocalypse", it’s likely that this will be a couple of minor episodes, but maybe it’s for the best, you won’t have to watch the whole film for the sake of it, may the director forgive me. :D

Trailer for the film "Yakuza Apocalypse"

It seems that in this picture, membership in a Yakuza gang is spread like vampirism, that is, through a bite... This is something new, however, the Japanese have always surprised with their special imagination...

As for the plot, it will tell about the main character (Hayato Ichihara) who admired the world of the Yakuza, but when he was accepted into the gang, it did not live up to his expectations. Finally disappointed, he sets about exterminating the yakuza, among whose members there are... vampires.

In general, it looks like what those who decided to watch "Yakuza Apocalypse" will be divided into 2 categories: those who will scratch their heads and twirl their fingers at their temples, and those who will make the film smile.

Miike in all his glory))). It’s interesting that he is quite capable of making a very serious, meditative film. But the trick is something similar))). I am one of those who will look (but not judge opponents))).
Japanese cinema has somehow frozen lately against the backdrop of South Korea, mainland China and even Vietnam and Indonesia.
I think. that they will have a breakthrough, as they once did in the horror genre, and in BI.

It seems to me that a “breakthrough” is not what this film is about.))

Certainly! You can even see it from the trailer).
The breakthrough will definitely not be connected with Miike.
IMHO they should go back to the old school of Kurosawa, Koboyashi, Yamada... A couple of fights for the film, but what kind of fights!! and how the actors played. The same Mifune is both a great actor and a master of acting in one bottle)
