Russian localization of foreign film titles is a separate form of art... it cannot be said that the original title is either “Boy Kills World” is the peak of perfection, but the translation “Boy against everyone” seems to downgrade the film Morica Mora to the level of niche arthouse work in the style of trash action. But it doesn't seem like that's the case.
First, the Sam Raimi - an experienced filmmaker, and he has not only “The Evil Dead” and “Spidermen” to his credit, but also a cult action film with JCVD “Difficult target“. The same cannot be said about the series “Spartacus” and “Xena: Warrior Princess,” which are aimed at the widest possible audience. A trained eye Reimi is unlikely to allow him to produce trash films; he probably sees the director of the film “Viva Berlin!” potential.
Secondly, “who shot” “It”, Bill Skarsgard. The actor already has a name, and the main role in remake of the legendary “Crow” can elevate him to the big leagues, despite the understandable indignation of the audience who caught the original “The Crow” in adulthood. This generation doesn’t particularly like Marvel films, but this doesn’t really affect their popularity, does it?
Thirdly, of course - Yayan Ruhian, is a silat master and fight choreographer who has become a sought-after professional after the sensational “Raids“. Today, every upcoming martial arts film must have Ruhyan in its cast. And in “To the boy killing the world” he plays the mentor of the main character.
Despite the fact that it is not the star of “The Raid” who is working on staging the fight scenes, this fate did not fall on a newcomer to fight choreography. David Jatarski – an experienced Polish martial artist who worked in “Ong-Bak 3” together with Tony JAA, film series “Kingsman” ,"black widow” And "wonder woman” ,"Akimbo cannons“, as well as in the above-mentioned film directed by Moritz Mohr – “Viva Berlin!”
Also starring in the film: Jessica Rothe, Famke Jansen, Sharlto Copley, Andrew Koji, Isaiah Mustafa, Brett Gelman, Michelle Dockery, and others.
Action script “Boy against everyone” wrote Arend Remmers, Moritz Mohrand Tyler Burton Smith, who is also listed as the screenwriter for the upcoming sequel to the acclaimed hit “Kung Fury” .
Thriller announced back in 2021, which also does not imply a product made by amateurs “on the knee” and with a quick hand. But what is the film about? There is an interesting point here:
A dystopian action film about Boy, a deaf guy with a vivid imagination. When his family is murdered, a mysterious shaman trains him to suppress his childhood imagination and become an instrument of death.
That is, Fight is not “guy“, and certainly not “boy“. This is the name or pseudonym of the main character, which already adds a play on words to the title of the film - “Fight kills the world“, - from the original, which could be pumped up in the Russian version in “Fight against everyone“. Agree, it would sound much more serious than the current title. And if you really immerse yourself in the context, which, in addition to the action, is also filled with the drama of a boy who saw with his own eyes the death of his parents and lost his hearing along with his voice... just imagine how much the perception of a picture with a symbolic title would change “ECHO OF SILENCE” along with the "Boy against everyone“. But this is already fantasy...
The film will be broadcast in cinemas on April 26, 2024, but for now you can admire the fresh posters.

Complete crap, not a movie. The previous two are much better.
Damn, that looks pretty good. I'll have to take note. Thanks.
I don't know why they do this... Even in their younger years, films like this were perceived...
