So I’m back, and here it is... The last live discussion of topics was 5 years ago, and even then it’s off topic, but so... All you can hear is: such and such a film came out - shit, a video of a new action movie - feces, a British monk - trash, some kind of ninja - kalotrash. Ladies and gentlemen, don’t you think that combat cinema is going to hell? No, seriously: the genre has come a difficult way from the ballet of paraplegics, with voice acting with leather straps, to Bruce Lee; from the young and talented Jackie and Sammo, to Jackie and Sammo on the ropes; from the triumphant “Ong Bak” to three-kopeck crafts with a single super slow-mo knee strike from a jump, from a window, from the roof of a barn, from the roof of a two-story barn, from the roof of a two-story barn on wheels. And what awaits us now? MMA crafts for $40? Thai comedies about trannies? "The Expendables 3" with an elderly Blanks and an obese Avedon? It's a shame, but even the best of the latest trailers (Assassination Games/Guns) looks like something straight out of the Hallmark Channel. A few topics ago they spoke flatteringly about the film ''Death grip'' from the Stunt People team, but it’s enough to watch a couple of their videos to understand how monotonous the staging of all their fights is. Well, “40 dollars”, “Hallmark”, and all that... You know, it’s better to watch the “Grandmasters” that you so caressed: rain, enemies flying ten meters away, breaking the scenery, pretentious close-ups... But because I love this genre so much that I can’t afford to watch and, certainly, wait for all sorts of crafts that are nothing more than a mockery of combat cinema: take the camera, wave your legs in the basement with your friends - here’s “Never Give Up 2”.

"Wu Xia" and "Grandmasters". Van Damme, this is your last chance. Grandpa Jet, I believe in you. The rest - let them burn in hell!

    PS
The poll about Adkins' opponents from The Expendables includes the name Michael Jenkins. Is this Mikael Shannon Jenkins from Undisputed 3, the starlet of the CBS series, or another basement superfighter?
