About the fact that they will film a sequel “Dyed leather” (Painted Skin), announced back in 2009. And finally, last month, in the Chinese province of Liaoning, filming began on the long-awaited sequel called “Dyed Leather 2” (Painted Skin 2). They will take part in the film again Donnie Yen, Vicky Zhao Wei, Zhou Xun и Song Li, and the actor Huang Xiaoming will replace Chen Kun.

Based on the first film based on the famous novel by Pu Songling “Erotic Ghost Story”, was the story of a strange love triangle between two people and a fox spirit (Huli-ching). The film turned out to be successful and grossed 230 million yuan (~33 million dollars).

In the second part, obviously, there will be more adventures than love stories. The plot tells the story of a devoted son who sets out on a journey to the west in search of the fountain of eternal youth for his parents. During his journey, he will have to fight many enemies, overcoming various obstacles along the way that powerful demons have prepared for him.

Film “Dyed Leather 2” due out early next year.
