I went to see it at the cinema yesterday. Only because of Donny. Most likely I would have watched it later (at home) when it came out in good quality, but I went to the cinema just for Donnie!
Well, what can I say... I definitely grew out of this category of films. The film seems to be for teenagers: a lot of show-off, pathos, naivety, and Diesel, it seemed to me, was too old for this role. )
The first half of the film is so-so, I even began to regret that I came to the cinema... Even despite Donnie’s first appearance, it was of course great. Donny, despite his age, of course moves just awesome! What can I say - handsome! )
The second half is definitely more interesting than the first part of the film, there is more dynamics and action. But damn, I don’t know who filmed these fights, but in my opinion they were filmed in an “incomprehensible” way. There was some kind of constant flickering - my eyes really got tired of it. Although the battles themselves seem to be staged well... In general, I’m “slightly” disappointed here... I was expecting something more...
Well, what is the result? Overall it will work. I agree more than not with the previous comment. I think that Donnie saved this movie to some extent, although this is of course my personal opinion. )
Verdict: You can watch it for Donnie. You shouldn’t watch it at home or go to the cinema, especially if you’re over 30-35. )
PS Tony Jaa is finally, well, just off topic. He made a face here and there, showed something - in general, if he had not appeared in the film, nothing much would have changed. He didn't catch my eye this time with his tricks. But it was still cool to see him. )
P.S.2 Damn, I haven't been on this site for more than 8 months... I'm getting old. (

Absolutely stupid movie, disappointed! Donnie is the best thing about him!
It's not clear from the trailer who the villain is. it feels like they are united at the end.
Probably Donnie Yen, and at the end there will be a fight between him and Diesel.

I'm thinking why not give Tony Jaa the role of a member of the triple x team and have a fight between him and donny. A fight between Donny and Vin Diesel is unlikely to be interesting.

Donnie fights great in the trailer, it's a pity that he's in the background. At the moment I think he is the best action movie actor.

I'll watch it only because of Donnie, because... the same Jah somehow doesn’t look at all in the trailers. + there are suspicions that it is thanks to Donnie that the film will pay off, because... Without a Chinese star (read Chinese distribution), the film's failure is almost guaranteed.
