Summing up the results of action cinema 2021: voting #3

As usual, for the third stage of voting we are saving the most interesting nominations: best big-budget action project, best martial arts film, best actor and actress in an action film, and, of course, best screen fight of the past year.

After this vote, our editors will collect all the data about the winners and begin text analytics, which (we hope) you are waiting for on our website! In the meantime, cast your votes for the best!

ATTENTION! You can vote directly for THREE candidates! So the voting results seem much fairer to us.

Please remember that this voting is intended to find out which of the options in each category were most liked by the audience. This is not a competition between fans of this or that actor or film!

Haha, Scott Adkins didn't make it to first place, and Donnie Yen fell out of the top three altogether. Quite unexpected. But I’m definitely happy for Joe Taslim! He is cool!

I remember last year or the year before it was very difficult to vote for the best screen fight, because everyone wanted to give votes.
In this case, only the fight between Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse has a wow effect.
Well, the rest have interesting tricks. For example, Scott Adkins and Matt Damon pleased us with realism. Zul Arifin - cool first-person inserts, this is still rare (like realism). Margot Robbie was filmed with such madness, it turned out interesting from a purely director’s point of view. In Vidyut Jamwal's fights, you root for his opponents - they are really awesome fighters, especially Du Au with Felix Fukuyoshi. Which one is which, but I especially liked the first one. Vidyut clearly won there only with plot armor. “Warriors of Silat” also pleased me, but also upset me with some dullness and artificiality: excellent technique, and (for me) the strongest sense of staging. For example, they often hit not in such a way as to hit, but in such a way that the enemy could dodge, parry, or carry out a countermeasure. Well, in Mortal Kombat I root for Sub Zero - Taslim.
The situation with Mortal Kombat is generally the most controversial. On the one hand, well, awesome. On the other hand, this is Mortal Kombat, it should have been better! He didn't reach the level he should be at. That is, it can take a place in both the best films and the biggest disappointments at the same time.
I think I’ll give second place to “Tramp Kenshin.” Apart from a few moments with cables or supernatural blows, there is simply awesome combat in three-dimensional space: below, above, in every way. It takes incredible skill to stage and film something like this, not to mention a real fight like this.
I'll think about third place. Simu Liu didn't like the fight on the scaffolding so much as the short fight right after it. The coolest thing there is that his opponent easily moved along the lower level, attacking from unexpected positions.
Ps By the way, can anyone tell me or remind me of other fights like this, where opponents can move like this almost in a prone position, and hit from unexpected, impossible positions?

While I was typing a comment and voting, the video from "Vagabond Kenshin" was removed from public access.
