The Chicago Tribune resource reports: 24-year-old Anthony Miranda, after an unsuccessful attempt at armed robbery, was left not only without a weapon, but also with a bullet in his leg.
According to police, the incident occurred in early December around midnight. Miranda approached the victim, who was sitting in his car, and asked for a light. He replied that he did not have a lighter, and then the robber pulled out a pistol and ordered the driver to give up everything valuable. The victim gave cash, wallet and valuables, and then Miranda ordered him to get out of the car, thereby making a terrible mistake, since the 33-year-old victim, who turned out to be a fighter MMA, decided to fight back the robber. As a result, during the struggle, Miranda shot himself in the leg with his own pistol, while receiving a free “massage” of his face.
The victim, who wished to remain anonymous (it is only known that his name is Justin), restrained the robber until the police arrived. After the attacker was handed over to Chicago police, the victim said that he was taking part in the championship UFC.
The next day, after first aid was given to the burglar in the hospital, a trial was held, and Miranda, who had previously been convicted of burglary several times, was taken into custody. Bail was set at $350.
