The first trailer of a promising film project is offered to viewers "Assassin's Creed". The plot of this historical adventure action film is based on the general concept of a series of computer games Assassin's Creed, involving us in the fantastic world of the centuries-old confrontation between the secret clan of Assassins and the secret order of the Templars. Using the Animus supercomputer, the consciousness of a modern person is transferred into the past, into the body of one of his ancestors, in order to uncover intrigues and conspiracies, as well as participate in battles that determine the fate of nations.
Michael Fassbender plays not one, but two main characters in the film: our contemporary Callum Lynch and his ancestor, the assassin Aguilar, who lived in 15th-century Spain. Revolutionary technology provides Lynch with the opportunity to incarnate in the body of Aguilar, to experience a kind of mental travel through time, to the times of the Inquisition. And for the filmmakers, this plot gives the chance to show many spectacular fights, breathtaking stunts and spectacular chases.
In addition to Fassbender, famous actors starred in the film Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons и Brendan Gleeson. And the stunt team includes some notorious ones Damien Walters и Chloe Bruce.
The world premiere of "Assassin's Creed" is scheduled for December 21, 2016. In Russia, the shows will take place two weeks later - January 5, 2017.

It's not really clear from the trailer. We have to wait for more trailers to form at least some opinion about the upcoming blockbuster. Again, depending on the success/failure of Warcraft, perhaps they will change something in Assassin's Creed. There is probably plenty of footage available.
By the way, in a large note on ComingSoon it is said that two-thirds of the film will take place in the present day, and only one-third will take place in the past.
It’s all so sleek, the atmosphere of Europe is missing. It will be like the Prince of Persia - colorful, but not the same.
