Let us remind you that the plot of the series tells the story of a young chef, Kai Jin, who works in Chinatown and is in no hurry to get involved in trouble. But everything changes dramatically when it turns out that Jin is the incarnation of the last surviving representative of the legendary clan of assassins Wu. A simple cook will have to learn to use ancient powers, assemble his own team and confront the local triad in order to return harmony to Chinatown.

“Assassins” is interesting to me, like all the works of Iko Uwais, and it will be nice to see Mark Dacascos in action again. The trailer gives hope that the fantasy elements will not outweigh the melee.

The killers, apparently, are worth watching. But the Witcher doesn’t catch me anymore. And the keepers are like that, the middle is half.

The fighting game is average to good. Far from “Raid”, but quite worthy and interesting. Among the films Iko showed, there were even worse films. Dacascos was not allowed to prove himself normally. There are not enough fight scenes, but there are one or two per episode in any series. Overall, it's not a must-watch.
The plot, acting, dialogue and character motivations are typical of fantasy series. Those. turn off critical perception in advance. And also, if possible, watch the original: in the Russian dubbing they have created such a pathos that it hurts your cheekbones. In the original, at least some acting is visible, and the actors’ native voices are more suitable. This is especially true for Celia Au - her voice acting was almost mutilated, whereas in the original she was very cool.
The special effects are at the level of not the coolest films of the 2000s.
