Demo of Jaika Stunt Team (wire-work)

Lately, many fans of martial arts films have been complaining about the overuse of cables. One cannot but agree with this, but, on the other hand, when the health and/or lives of actors are at stake, their proper use will save producers from many problems, especially if dangerous stunts are performed by people who are far from stunt work.

Thai stunt team “Jaika Stunt Team” (The Mummy, Mortal Kombat, Sanctuary, Ong-Bak 2, 7 Aum Arivu) recently presented a new video on this topic. It is assembled from excerpts from the filming of films, advertisements and TV series and is dedicated to the work of the so-called “riggers”.

There are no problems with ropes if they are done well, because the stunts are simply wild now and insurance is needed. This is much better than getting injured. Another thing is fairy tales in which flights are 150 meters, this is not for everyone. In the same Tom Yum Gung, they pulled the table by the string when Tony Jaa beat a dude under it with a low kick and nothing, everything was fine.

Strictly against ropes in fights, unless it is a fall from a blow.
For example, there a man flew 10 meters away after a straight kick.
Or as Jackie also showed. There was a rope behind the heel. They pulled sharply, the man fell beautifully. And the things that people do in real life, ropes only spoil everything.

Ropes work well during explosions. Falls from skyscrapers, yes. They are needed here.

    I am against !13(62%)
    I don't care!5(24%)

I once did the same topic with a survey - Computer special effects and “ropes” in films on BI [survey]
You can look here - http://torrent.asiateca.ru/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=616
You don’t have to read everything, but here are the results of a survey among fans of Asian films
    you can compare ;)
Personally, I am against "ropes" unless in fantasy films a la kung fu...
