Filming has begun on the new Thai action film Reflex

On December 1st, filming began in Thailand for a new action movie called "Reflex". Film for which he wrote the script Dean Alexandrou (Shanty Town Show Down, The Scorpion King 3, Brute Force), directed by Daniel Zirilli (Circle of Pain, The Package, Blood of Redemption), and the cameraman helps him with this Ross Clarkson (Ninja 1-2, Undisputed 2-3).

The focus is on a young man (Dean Alexandrou), stuck in one of the Asian cities in the so-called “time loop”. Now all the events that happen to him, be it chases, falls or fights, end with his death. If the time loop is broken, then this will stop... maybe...

The film also stars Ron Smoorenburg, Zom Ammara, Selina Lo, Yulduz Karimova, Byron Gibson, David Bueno, Alex Winters and more

Companies provide financing "Stunt Power Films LTD" и Popart Film Factory. The stunt team is responsible for choreographing stunts and fighting. "JaiKa Stunt team" led by Kecha Kampakdi (The Mummy, Mortal Kombat, Sanctuary, Ong-Bak 2, 7 Aum Arivu, Iddarammayilatho).

“Why didn’t they mention Shukshin as a writer...”
Not long ago, a reading survey was conducted on a serious management website))).
One, max - five books per year)))...

Russia has not been a reading country for a long time.
In China they read more. Daniil Granin was recently awarded for a war novel in China. Who has read this novel or at least knows about it?)))

SUDDENLY ask a person in your circle to name at least three stories by Shukshin, at least in terms of content???... Offhand!
I’m afraid they won’t even remember him as a writer (((... And not because he’s bad! (he’s a great writer - a “hillbilly”!!!)
    It's simple.
Now reading serious spiritual, soulful literature in Russia is NOT held in high esteem. Alas...

He starred with Vasily Shukshin (he was such an excellent Soviet actor and director).

Moreover, they explained in parentheses who Shukshin was... Thank you, of course, but it was not worth it. Why wasn’t Shukshin mentioned as a writer? This should have been listed first on the list. And Vanin was not the only one who acted with him. Also Sergei Bondarchuk, for example.

Van Damme’s best dramatic role is “JCVD” (my opinion) - he’s probably the same in real life... tired, or something.
Dolph is static emotionally in all roles (now his action has become, so to speak, worse than before... IMHO).
But you should watch Jet Li's "Ocean Paradise". He certainly has a future as a dramatic actor.
Bruce Willis is not an athlete or a stuntman at all... A pure self-taught actor (well, as far as I remember..)
Gina Carano's "Knockout" came out well, I think.
We also had an actor-wrestler (my fellow countryman!) - Alexey Vanin. He starred with Vasily Shukshin (he was such an excellent Soviet actor and director).
You can probably remember someone else...

    Offtop.
By the way, which of the former athletes, stuntmen, in your opinion, really PLAYS (played?) at the level of the best professionals. I don't mean the action scenes.
Stallone comes to mind (the first “Rambaud”, say), Statham in “London”, Chan in “1911”.
    Yet?

I consider Stallone and Van Damme to be the best actors among action stars (Bruce Willis doesn’t count, he’s still more versatile). Dolph is great as villains. Jet Li was VERY pleased with Denis the Chain Dog. And if we take Jackie...then his best work as a dramatic actor is The Karate Kid.

By the way, Eric wrote on his blog that he was going to write a script for a feature-length version.

To be honest...I don't think anything good will come of this. BUT I wish them only success!!!

((((! Oh, that’s exactly what I meant. To be honest, stuntmen rarely represent anything like actors, you must admit (although they try very hard!).
But Eric's game (not even the fights) in Rope... caused sincere joy). Good luck to him (and money!).

Yes, “Groundhog Day” from stunts is a masterpiece! Let's wait and see. I wouldn’t forget just a year or so before the release.

Slipped, fell, lost consciousness, woke up - dead! :)

I didn't understand the plot a little. What kind of time loop is this and what is strange about “we fall and die” =)

Eric Jacobas recently made a wonderful short film on the same topic))).

The guy on the bottom right looks suspiciously like Chupong. :)
