2017 is inexorably approaching, bringing closer the premiere of an interesting domestic project called “Travel to China. The Mystery of the Iron Mask" (or "Viy 2"), but the question remains unanswered: which of the foreign cohort of action stars will appear in this film?
Rumors have been circulating for a long time that they will take part in the film Steven Seagal и Jackie Chan. The first was allegedly seen on the set in a suit, and the second’s participation in the project was associated with Jackie Chan Stunt Association (JC Stunt Team), which choreographs the action and stunts in The Secret of the Iron Mask. There were also rumors that a Hollywood actor should appear in the film. Jason Statham, which is generally not clear by what wind was carried into the domestic film industry.

“Travel to China. The Mystery of the Iron Mask" is not a direct continuation of the successful mystical film of 2014 "Viy 3D" starring Jason Flemyng. Despite mixed reviews from audiences and critics, as well as production problems, the film achieved some box office success. After which the producer and director of the film Oleg Stepchenko ("A Man's Season: The Velvet Revolution"), attracted Chinese filmmakers for a sequel, only in the form of a wuxia adventure film. Stepchenko also planned a threequel, which was called "Journey to India".
Despite the fact that there is no data confirming this or that big name, on the Internet you can find an art poster of an old man who looks very much like Jackie Chan and a photograph of Steven Seagal in a British naval uniform. But not in the presented teaser, nor in the promotional material about the filming of the film, we never found any familiar faces.
