Trailers for independent films Redcon-1, The Dragon Unleashed and I Can I Will I Did

As we already know thanks to the Chinese independent film "Zombie Fight Club" Starring Andy Ohn, the hand-to-hand action could very well be part of the zombie apocalypse story that has become such a popular genre in recent years. And now we have a similar film from the UK.

A movie called Redcon-1 (in the Russian version “Zombie Apocalypse”) belongs to a British producer and director with Chinese roots Chee Keong Chungu, who may be known for films such as "Underground" (2007) and "Bodyguard: A New Beginning" (2008). “Redcon 1” is a long-term project; it took more than three years to film. And now the film is ready to go to its audience.

The film will focus on a detachment of special forces in the setting of a post-apocalyptic future, where the Earth has long been under the rule of the risen dead. The fighters of the elite unit "Redcon-1", of which there are eight people, are given the task of extricating an important scientist from London, occupied by zombies, who will influence the balance of power in this conflict for the survival of the human species.

The cast of the film suggests that there will be someone to fight on screen: Carlos Gallardo ("Planet Terror") Oris Eruero ("Black Mask 2: City of Masks"), Mark Strange ("The Iron Monk") Joshua Dickinson (TV series “Mirror” and “Ransom”), as well as stuntman and action film actor Akira Koieyama (TV series "Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist" and "Sense8"), former WWE and TNA star Katarina Waters (“Killer Karate”) and the big guy Martin Ford ("Undisputed 4", "Kingsman: The Golden Circle").

The “raw” film was shown at the action film festival in Thailand in 2017, but the official release date is considered 28 September 2018 years.

The next independent project belongs to a niche film director Rene Perez, which mainly specializes in low-budget horror films. Such as: "Cowboys and Zombies" (2011) "Burning Dead" (2015) "From Hell to the Wild West" (2011) and others.

Perez's new film is called "Indestructible Dragon" (The Dragon Unleashed), and the genre will be an action movie. The film is produced by the company Top Dollar Films, which exclusively supports indie projects.

There is no official synopsis for the upcoming R-rated action film yet. However, from the trailer, another story of revenge a la Marvel emerges quite clearly "Chastener".

Played the main role Chase Bloomquist, who previously worked mainly in short films, and will be accompanied by: John Schneider (TV series "Smallville") Emily Sweet ("Constance"), kung fu instructor and actor John Ozuna (“Venom”) and others.

The release date for "Dragon" is still unknown, but perhaps, like with the previous film by Rene Perez "The kiss of death" starring Daniel Baldwin, the director's new action film will be playing around film festivals for some time. But you can already watch the trailer.

We want to finish the review of the indie project with a drama about another karate kid (we remind you that we have on our website whole article about the brightest representatives of this subgenre).

Director's film Nadine Truong ("The One I Knew") is called "I can do it" (I Can I Will I Did). The script is also written by Nadine.

The plot will unfold around a boy named Ben, who is bullied at school by aggressive classmates. As a result of one of the incidents, Ben gets hit by a car. As a result, he ends up in the hospital, where he slowly recovers. There he meets a disabled girl, Adrienne, who often visits the hospital because she has become attached to a patient in a coma. A friendship develops between the teenagers and Adrianna introduces Ben to her grandfather, taekwondo master Kan. This acquaintance becomes fateful for the boy.

Starring in the film: Mike Feist (TV series “Illusion”), Ellie Lee (TV series "Celebrity Ghost Stories") Jack DiFalco (TV series "Blue Bloods") and taekwondo instructor Ik Jo-Kang.

The film is currently playing at independent film festivals, but the creators promised its release in 2018. However, there is no exact release date yet.
