Today we have two films and one series in our selection. The first two positions are films whose heroes are women.

The first film is a project of a producer, screenwriter and director Bailey Coby, which is associated mainly with auteur and dramatic cinema, like "Caterpillar Kimono" (2013) and "Honeymoon before childbirth" (2017)

The new film is called "Ragdoll" (Rag Doll) and is an MMA drama about a girl, Nora, who is going through a difficult period in her life - a difficult divorce and discord with her sister, with whom she was once very close. Nora has only one close person left - a mixed martial arts coach who has long since retired. Together they will have to prepare for a new tournament and get their lives back.

Starring: Shannon Murray ("Oz the Great and Powerful") Dot-Marie Jones (TV series “2 Broke Girls”), Stefan Erb (TV series "Best Donuts"), Dante Basco (“Jarheads 3: Under Siege”) and others.

The film was shown at festivals back in 2019, and the online release took place 25 декабря 2020 года.

The genre of the second film in the selection is difficult to determine. This is a mystical action movie, a bloody horror and a “tournament” MMA movie.

We're talking about a movie called HellKat (we find it difficult to translate this correctly), at the helm of which are two directors of a niche horror movie: Scott Jeffrey ("Bad Nun", "Be Quiet", "Cupid") and Rebecca Matthews ("Pet Sematary", "Candy Witch").

Katrina was once an MMA fighter, and now she is a hunter of demons and various evil spirits. Her goal is to find a creature that will “let her through” to Hell, where a hand-to-hand tournament is held for human souls. Thus, Katrina wants to return the soul of her son.

Played a great role in the film Sarah T. Cohen (“Viking War”), and she was accompanied by: Adrian Boucher ("The Sword of King Arthur") Ricardo Freitas ("Rage") Serhat Metin (TV series "Gangs of London") and others.

Company Uncork'd Entertainment is going to release the film on physical media 2 February 2021 year.

Not so long ago we already wrote that a remake of a successful TV series is being prepared "Walker: Texas Ranger", which brought the already legendary Chuck Norris even greater world fame.

Finally, it became known that the series was acquired by a television network CW, known for series based on the DC comic universe. The title of the series was shortened to the notorious "Walker" (Walker), and the main role is still assigned to Jared Padalecki, who was the star of a mystery series "Supernatural" for 15 years.

Synopsis: Walker is a police officer who has worked undercover for two years. Together with his two children, he returns to his native Austin, Texas, where he realizes that his work is not finished. With the support of his new partner, the only female ranger, he begins to fight crime.

In addition to Padalecki, the series featured: Linda Morgan ("Skyline 2"), Odette Annable (TV series "Banshee") Keegan Allen (“And they lost the battle”), Coby Bell (TV series "Special Forces") and other actors.

New "Cool Walker" starts on CW from January 21 2021 years. We hope there will still be signature roundhouse kicks. They weren't shown in the trailer...
